She was born and raised in Southern California. Following high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force in 1998, served ten years and traveled the world. Her favorite part of traveling is seeking out the seedy underbelly of the city.

She is married to an amazing and talented man who never stops impressing her; they have one beautiful daughter.

Her debut novel, Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, Book 1), is available in ebook and paperback.

This book was unexpected (I did not know there was this epilogue in the works). So it was a great surprise and a fantastic reminder of why I loved the previous two books so much. The writing is exceptional, the characters disturbing and engaging at once but above all, full of humanity. In the end this is truly a story of love, hope and redemption. I could not have thought of a better way to bring closure to all the violence that started it all.

Epilogue (The Dark Duet, #3) By C.J. Roberts Rating ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ 1/2 Stars Summary BOOK 3 OF THE DARK DUET (The final version should have 15 Chapters + an epilogue) I’m writing this because you begged. You know how I love the begging. In fact, you probably know too many things and know them far too well. Who am I? Well, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I was a whore in my youth, a killer since my adolescence, and a monster as a man. I am the man who kidnapped Livvie. I am the man who held her in a dark room for weeks. But, most importantly, I am the man she loves. She loves me. It’s quite sick, isn’t it? Of course, there’s more to our story than can be surmised in a few short sentences, but I’m at a loss for justifying my behavior back then. I assume if you’re reading this, I don’t need to make those justifications. You’ve already made your own. You’re reading this because you want to know about the rest of the story. You want to know what happened that warm summer night in September of 2010, the night I met Livvie at The Paseo. It was the night my life changed all over again. It didn’t happen exactly as Livvie said. She’s been very kind to me in the retelling of our story. The truth is far more…complicated My Thoughts OMG! I can't believe that I waited to read this book. CJ Roberts did it again! I love hearing from Caleb/ James. To know some of how he was and is feeling. The fact that he wanted to be everything Livvie needed. It is awkward and frustrating, but filled with passion and desire. CJ gives us a great story with HOT sex scenes that had me blushing and of course hot and bothered. Haha This is one of my all time favorite series! If you have been living under a rock and haven't read it yet I suggest you get your ass in gear and get ready for the ride of your life!!

Epilogue was PERFECT! I loved every minute of it...especially being from Caleb's POV. His sense of humor was a surprise ... this was the perfect ending to The Dark Duet Series. I am now looking forward to learning more about Reed...can't come soon enough!

Short read but packed with deep insight from Caleb. Really satisfying ending to their twisted love story. Well written and worth every penny.

I liked this better than the previous two, simply because there was less of the horrifying aspects of the story. I also was intrigued to read what happened after the events of book 2 but from Caleb's perspective. Caleb's inner monologue is sometimes disturbing, but especially towards the end of this story, it was nice to see him opening up to the possibility of a more normal life with friends and everything. I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to grow up the way he did and it was wonderful to see his redeeming qualities coming out. I liked seeing that redemption and recovery were possible for him. If you enjoyed the first two books, I'm sure you will enjoy this one. For those with triggers like mine, however, there are still some iffy parts in this book that could be a turn off. Nothing quite as bad as book one or two however, so if you made it through those, you can endure the minor stuff in this one.

Caleb's story is a must read without it Livvie's story is incomplete. In a wierd way they are meant for each other. You never know who you are going to love. But when you do love hard. Loved this book just as much as the others because it was truly Caleb. If you loved him before this book makes you love him harder.

I liked this book but felt like it was a "fluff" book. I LOVED the other books but this one was not necessary. Felt like I was reading about a whole different man. He was not the same man I mean yea he changed blah blah but he just wasnt the strong guy. First 2 books were WONDERFUL. Read them...they were great but this one was not good. Sorry

This series was so unexpected for me and at first i almost felt guilty for liking it and rooting for Caleb even though hes the enemy, or is he?  This series made you question things about society, about yourself and everything in between.  I would love to read more of this series if possible or more from the author because she sure knows what she is doing

This was an ending that the series deserves. I liked seeing how it all came together. Definitely worth the time and cash.

This was the best book out of the three.  It was absolutely brilliant.  I loved the fact it explained that the first two books were written by Olivia from her perspective and that this book was written by Caleb to explain things from his.  It wasn't just his explanation that was good, it was the way he talked directly to the reader.  "I'm writing this because you begged. You know how I love the begging. In fact, you probably know too many things and know them far too well." Caleb bares his soul and his love for Livvie and hers for him, even though he doesn't feel he deserves it. "But, most importantly, I am the man she loves. She loves me. It's quite sick, isn't it?" If you enjoyed the first two books you won't want to miss this one. As Caleb says, "It didn't happen exactly as Livvie said. She's been very kind to me in the retelling of our story. The truth is far more...complicated."

Of course I loved it! My favorite series. Such a treat to read more about Caleb and Livvie. To be told in Caleb's POV, doesn't get any better.

has left a profound impression on me. I LOVED/HATED the two previous books--Captive and Seduced. I especially loathed Caleb, and quite frankly didn't want to like him, ever!!! Well, thls last book in this disturbingly wonderful series has changed my opinion. Having written this from Caleb's point of view was genious! Delving into his mind and background gave another dimension to his character! There is an exchange of feelings between Livie and Caleb after Caleb reads Livie's story of them is so realistic in how people miscommunicate and misinterpret each other was spectacular and, again, genious. Read the three books in order, AND, if you read the previous two but not this one, you are missing out! I strongly recommend this book and the whole series. I don't see how CJ could ever top this series!

You know, I think going into Epilogue was the first time I ever got to the end of a series and didn’t worry about all the things I loved about previous installment(s) blowing up in my face. I already knew that C. J. Roberts wasn’t about to yank the rug from under my feet. It helped that the first chapter had been posted on Facebook and it promised as much as it delivered. ;] This’ll be a short review because I really only want to say one thing in particular, and that’s “Yes.” One big resounding “Yes.” Because this book was everything it needs to be and more. Caleb and Livvie had been through a lot and in Epilogue, they had to go through even more. They made leaps and bounds of progress by talking to each other and letting themselves trust one another and it just made it so happy to see that, yay, even two people as screwed up in the head as they are can make it together! I offer Roberts a job well done and my hard-to-earn devotion for the rest of her book-writing career until she puts out something as painful as Hush, Hush. I’m afraid that’s the only thing that can keep me from gobbling up every story she writes from now on. Plus, I really liked how their story kinda came full-circle, how Livvie actually “authored” Captive in the Dark and included Caleb’s perspective in the whole ordeal. It was a really cool idea that I thought fit seamlessly well within the narrative and even contributed to the construction of their trust and understanding in one another.

I have never written a review but I HAD too for this set of 3!! I feel as dark and twisted as the villians for loving these books. Nothing could've could have prepared me for the roller coaster ride my emotions were on....nothing! Open your mind and read them. Not your typical love story but it is definately a love story. Hope for a 4th......
