Phil Irwin (aka The Whiskey Rebel) has entertained readers across the country and around the world with columns and reviews in music and art magazines; including Carbon 14, Hit List and Amp.

In 2001, he launched a frequently updated Internet diary (www.whiskeyrebel.com). This is his fourth book. He is a veteran musician and a competitive chess player.

In 2008, the author received a baccalaureate degree in History (with an English minor) from Texas State University. He graduated cum laude was twice honored with The Achievement in History Award.

Phil currently lives in Texas with his wife Marla, and two loyal cats: Dixie and Nutty. His son and daughter-in-law made him a grandfather in 2011.
