What a marvalous cookbook. I have a nutrition backround and love this book. I love the tips and the stars that tell you if it is a high fiber, healthy weight or a low carb. I have diabetics that I cook for. It is easy to pick a recipe that will work. I have cooked more that 20 of these recipes. The tips, the VERY complete nutritional info and explanations of what they did to lighten up the recipes help inspire anyone to lighten up and healthy up their favorites. GREAT GIFT.
I love this cookbook because every recipe is easy and delicious. Most of the ingredients are already around; once you've stocked your spice cabinet. Everything is fresh and fabulous!
This has become one of my favorite cookbooks. The recipes are healthy but have not lost any flavor. There are several charts that are extremely helpful in understanding the basics of nutrition. The chocolate cake recipe is amazing and the carmelized onion braised roast is now the only way I will fix a roast.
If you're a fan of "EatingWell" magazine, get this book!! It's a fantastic way to start thinking about cooking more healthful meals. Each recipe comes with a complete nutrition analysis, level of difficulty, and time required for preparation and cooking. Included are also handy tips for storing and preserving, shopping, and simple quick snacks or easy meal options. There's plenty of variety, and cooking with this book won't break the bank either. Highly recommended.
