This is an excellent book for the person who is somewhat familiar with the life and work of Edgar Cayce. Mark Thurston does an excellent job of pulling together the basic substance of Cayce's readings that cover the essential subject matter thereof. The book would probably be best understood by him or her who has read one of several biographies of this interesting man e.g., "There Is A River", "The Sleeping Prophet", or "Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet" etc. Without a basic understanding Cayce's life and work and what he stands for, this book is going to be difficult to read. So I suggest that anyone who is considering buying this book should read one of the above biographies; once that is done and the reader wants to dig deeper into the subject matter, you won't be able to put this book down. A great read. I, now, plan to read everything I can get my hands on about this modern prophet.

This book is extremely dry and hard to follow.

Pretty boring read...not the most interesting writer. He tends to repeat himself using different words. The Cayce readings themselves are much more interesting.
