About the Author

Iain M. Duguid (PhD, University of Cambridge) is professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary. He also serves as pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

James M. Hamilton Jr. (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is professor of biblical theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and preaching pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church.

Jay Sklar (PhD, University of Gloucestershire) is professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary.

Eric Ortlund (PhD, University of Edinburgh) teaches at Oak Hill College in London, England. He previously taught Old Testament at Briercrest College and Seminary in Saskatchewan, Canada, for ten years. He and his wife, Erin, have two children.


Douglas Sean O'Donnell (PhD, University of Aberdeen) is the senior vice president of Bible publishing at Crossway. He is the author and editor of over a dozen books, including The Beginning and End of Wisdom; The Pastor's BookThe Song of Solomon and Matthew in the Preaching the Word commentary series; and Psalms in the Knowing the Bible series. He also contributed Job and Song of Songs in the ESV Expository Commentary.
