This was a little painful to read. Certainly not a stand alone book, even if it is part of a series. Not sure if i will continue to 4.

How can you people say that!? Yeah this book is mushy but thats just Chrissy Peebles's writing style. Dont give up the series yet because the other books (especially Eternal faith.) Are awesome.

What a let down, totally agree the previous strong heroine becomes a weepy sap, that has to unrealistically proclaim her love every other .  ugh!  The story that could have taken 4-6 chapter, drug on & on & really turned me off on the writer.  Think I'll pass on the rest of the books.

I really enjoyed the first two books in the series. Despite the flaws - the modern words the medieval people used, not remembering that Liz is the older sister, and editing errors - I was still interested. If you're looking for a mystery, you won't find it here, you can see where the writer is going long before the book gets there, but it's still a fun and exciting read, at least until Book 3. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers. What the heck happened? The main character Sarah, who was strong, determined and somewhat stubborn with a snarky attitude becomes a weepy, helpless mess. If that is not bad enough, most of the book just recaps parts of the first and second books over and over. You might want to have a bottle of Pepto Bismol handy because all the "I love you's" and "Life had no meaning before you's" on every other page are bound to make you nauseous. The good parts of the Book 3 are mixed in among the rubbish and few in number.

I love this series. The love between Sarah and Victor would make any girl swoon. Her sister Liz seems a little selfish and wild. I really would like to slap Della.

I loved the first 2 books the heroine was strong and capable, the male protaganist was dark but caring. This book could hardly go a page without her spouting i love you, i miss you, or crying and it hardly detailed any of the action scenes. The other parts of the book were so detailed that the book drug on and on..
