If you love the paranormal genre than you will love this book. This is a collection of short stories by several talented writers , including Melissa De La Cruz (Blue Bloods), Rachel Caine (Morganville Vampires), and Cassandra Clare (City of Bones). Each individual story takes a different unique view into the dark world of vampires. I'm usually not a compilation type girl. But the lure of reading Rachel Cane's short story made me want to buy it. By buying it for one story it exposed me to other author's literary style in the supernatural genre. I found myself going to the bookstore with a list of books I wouldn't normally purchase. Each individual story was like an appetizer that left me craving more. If your like me, constantly searching for new and better authors to read I highly recommend this book, just beware the title says "story's of blood and desire" but there was no desire...just blood.

I lovedd every single of the short stories collected here. Every single one of them had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next. Some of them I wished were longer and made me thirst for more but the author probably wanted to leave sone things up to the reader's imagination. All in all, it was a great book and I throughly enjoyed the short stories. I would definitely recommend it!

Liked that not all these stories have happy endings or were soppy; that they're not all about a teen girl who's an outcast, uncomfortable with her surroundings and herself and needs a vampire to rescue her. Sometimes, the girl is the bad one and the vampire needs rescuing from her! Enjoyed the short stories, thought they were written well and liked the cross section of writing styles, language, ideas and plots. The book was better than I expected. Not at all the "ho hum, it's all the same".

A selection of short stories all about vampires. My favourite was The Coldest Girl in Cold Town by Holly Black. It;s about a girl who has been infected with the vampire virus. She is trying not to drink human blood for the required number of days to stop from becoming a vampire. A guy comes to her for help as his sister and her boyfriend have disappeared.

This is one of the better anthologies I have read in this genre. They are mostly are complete stories rather than scenes/outtakes from the various writers series. The stories all offer something different, with varying tones, and even though written for YA should please adult fans also. My favourites were all by authors I haven't read anything by yet:All Wounds by Dina James . With this choice I contradict myself because this read as it could be an introduction to a series rather than a short story but it grabbed my imagination and if a series comes out of it, its one I'd like to read.Undead is Very Hot Right Now by Sarah Rees Brennan I appreciated the humour in this tale - a nice relief from the doom and gloom of most of the others in the collection. The Thirteenth Step by Libba Bray An interesting premise and a strong story with a clear beginning, middle and end - the way a short story is supposed to work.Passing by Nancy Holder and Debbie ViguieAnother interesting premise, something a little different.

I am not really sure if i can count this as a review because this book is not really a novel. It's just a lot of short stories put together. I would so recommend this book to anybody who loves to read about vampires, and short stories. There's not much for me to say about this book, so i guess that's it. Overall:4/5

Consisting of action-packed, sexy, and haunting vampire stories, Eternal Kiss is an anthology of short stories of vampire lovers shouldn't miss. Because not all vampire stories are always about the romance. Always with a hint of danger and that temptation of immortality - in exchange of exploring your darker side. What actually got me interested to read the story are the list of authors contributing in the anthology. Black, Brennan & Clare? Those three are enough to get me buying it! Just don't expect that it will be anything like their novels. This are vampire tales. No fairies, magicians, & demons. But their stories are not just the stories I loved. Each stories have different feel to offer - from sexy to haunting. There were some stories that I badly want to continue. Try Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie's, it was a surprise for me. And there is also All Wounds, which was a good story end-er for the book. Some of the authors I still haven't read any of their works. I was excited with Libba Bray's story because I have heard good stuffs about her. So her story here was my first encounter of her writing. As well as for the rest of the authors. A must for every vampire story lovers and even twi-hards. This will awaken you that, it might not be the only one but a vampire's true desire is blood.

I purchased this book because of the many authors I recognized and had enjoyed their previous works. However, I was disappointed in nearly all of the stories. They lacked a certain magic and originality. The element that leaves the story lingering in your mind for a long time after just wasn't there. I did enjoy some of the stories by the authors that I had never read anything by.

This was a good anthology from a number of well known YA authors with their own series. The vampires were nearly all closer to the horror version than the PR version, which is to say, they ate people in bloody and awful ways. There was one story that was an exception to that, about a rock n roll vampire, but I really enjoyed the story and would like to read more about him. The band manager was hilarious. Most of the stories were very good and it was nice to have a return to vampires being something other than misunderstood and terribly sexy people (which can be fun but can also get old)

I picked this book up to read between Barnes and noble.com deliveries. I've made it so far as Holly Blacks story 'the coldest girl in cold town' that story alone makes it worth the purchase. So far her story is the most complete of all the tales. The blue bloods series author also has a tale in this book I don't actually like the blue bloods series but this story was nice, simple. A prequel to the blue bloods series. Now that I have read further into his collection I can solidly recommend this book its delivers far more than the 9 some odd dollars I paid for this book. Thirteenth step was a good read very dark. Passing is a short about a semi post apocalyptic type situation where the whole world is in a war with vampires I would be a little interested in reading a longer version of that story. Others boys was OK but I don't think I would care to read more about this particular tale. I do plan to look up and read several of the authors in this series other works.
