Reviewed by Marissa Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book While I wasn’t overwhelmed by the story, the writing in Eternal Lovers is smooth and the events progress very evenly throughout. As the last in a series, this story seemed that it is mostly to tie up the loose ends. What this means is that there was no character development – all of the characters involved in this story line have already been featured in previous books. I did enjoy the characters, though. Theron is the vampire ruler, Ryver is his vampire wife. Darius is the Mage King and Medusa is his vampire/warrior wife. The men are alpha males and the women can stand up to them. There is also a talking bear. *Nice* A word of warning, though. Since Eternal Lovers is seventh in the Caveat Emptor series, there is a lot of back-story to catch up on. I haven’t followed these – this is the first of the stories I’ve read – and it was a little confusing. Renquist did a fairly decent job of bringing all the details of the previous books into this one but there is so much information on the mage and vampire history, not to mention who is who and how the relationships mesh, that I would suggest you start reading the series from book one and go from there.
