About the Author

Guillermo Iranzo-Berrocal is an anthropologist graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Instituto de Investigaciones Antropologicas (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) in 1997. After obtaining a B.A. degree at the University of Puerto Rico (Magna Cum Laude), he enrolled and achieved an M.A. at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (1992) in anthropology, researching agro-ecological and land gentrification topics, publishing among other co-authors the article, "The potential of Bigflower Vetch as a selfseeding legume companion crop for a sweet corn Winter rye rotation", Journal of Sustainable Agriculture, vol. 5, num. 4. 1995. In the 2000's, he published the article, "Amona y la expansion imperialista en el Caribe, s. XIX". Exegesis, yr. 24, num. 67-68. 2010; and recently (2013) gave the conference, "La identidad, el patrimonio historico, cultural y cientifico como derecho de los pueblos", for the Instituto de Derechos Humanos, Cultura e Investigacion (University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus).
