Every 21 seconds is the most honest book written by a TBI survivor that I have ever read. I am the mother of a 25-year old daughter who suff ered the devastating effects of a traumatic brain injury three years ago and I believe I have read almost all of the books written on this topic.

This book was truly inspirational for me, Being the spouse of a TBI Survivor this book was a mirror like image to what our family was dealing with. It gave me hope when i thought I had none, strength to know others were going through the same, and courage to help our family heal. The patience, love and support that was shown in this book clearly helped our family to fight hard to make our life as normal as possible.
It was unlike any book I have ever read. I really was not sure what to expect, the cover just pulled me in. Anyway the author wastes no time grabbing your interest and doesnt let you go until you are finished. It just never stops! There is so much in this book, it reads so fast. You name it, its here. It will give every emotion a ride. It also shows you how much corporate America needs to learn about this disabilty. The auther was honest, very open and when you least expect it, funny. I could go on and on, I have recommended this book to all. The scary part is what happened to him happens Every 21 Seconds. That was a shock! He has a great writing style, not sure who I would compare it to. My 21 year old son started reading it and couldnt stop, so no age group on this one. Highly recommended, best book I have read in a long time.
