This was a very hot story. Piper's boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident five years ago. She blames herself for the accident. His brother, Mason, has always wanted Piper, but could never act on it because of his brother. But when they see each other again, sparks fly. There were some frustrating portions where I was just screaming at the characters in my head to just talk to each other honestly, instead of always just assuming and saying what they thought the other wanted to hear. But the miscommunication added to the drama of the whole situation. I really enjoyed reading this story.

Piper was a good rich girl. Mason was a bad boy who wanted Piper was seventeen and was with his brother. But Piper wanted Mason to. Piper and Mason had not seen each other in a long time. Mason’s brother Colton died five years ago Piper knew why Colton was out recklessly driving and it eats at her. Mason felt guilty as he knew Colton shouldn’t have been driving the motorcycle but he didn’t stop him and Colton was killed in a motorcycle accident. Piper had always felt guilty when Both Mason and Piper feel guilty but they believe that if they have one night together now it will get each other out of their systems. Every year on the date of Colton’s death Piper meet with Colton’s and Mason’s parents but this year Mason was there. Then Piper’s car wouldn’t start and Mason offered to give him a ride home. I felt this was great book and a good fast read . I liked the plot and the pace of this story. I felt bad for the guilt both Piper and Mason felt as as Colton went through. I loved how Mason is portrayed. I liked the characters a lot and the ins and outs of the story and I recommend.

Forbidden love. Piper was the rich good girl and Mason was the bad boy who had a thing for his brother’s girlfriend. So what happens when his brother is no longer around will Piper and Mason give in to their desires? After five years and loads of guilt will these two be able to work through the burdens they are each carrying in order to come together? This was a good fast read that gave you plenty of hotness. It also had you thinking about being able to forgive yourself. I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review.

Dealing with loss, guilt and moving forward is at the heart of Every Breath You Take by Christina Phillips. While it is definitely a steamier romance than I am used to from Tule Publishing it still does a marvelous job of diving deeper than just a hot romance. The feelings of both Mason and Piper are explored as they act on their attraction when both still have strong feelings for Mason’s late brother and Piper’s former fiancé. Because of this he is like the third person in this story now, since his death is a hindrance to the new relationship. I find their story to be authentic since my own family has a grandmother who married her late husband’s brother. Though the events were different it is interesting to explore the emotions that the couple must go through in this kind of situation. It is a provocative character driven story. An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

"Every Breath You Take" by Christina Phillips is Piper Thomas and Mason Hunter's story. Five years ago Piper broke off her engagement to Colton, Mason's brother. That night Colton died in a wreck. Piper feels guilt since it happened the night she broke up with him. Mason also feels guilt because his brother took his motorcycle the night he died in a wreck. Mason has always had feelings for Piper and she for him. They both never acted on it because of Colton. Piper always goes to Colton's parents the anniversary of his death. This year both Mason and Piper are there. Piper's car won't start so Mason takes her home. The chemistry between Mason and Piper is so intense that they can't ignore it. Will they take a chance on love or will it just be a one night stand? Will they allow the past to prevent them from having a relationship? This is an emotional and extremely steamy story with graphic intimate scenes. FYI, includes graphic content. I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

In Every Breath You Take by Christina Phillips, Piper and Mason have not seen each other for years. After the death of Mason's brother who was also Piper's fiancee, both of them have suffered from guilt about what happened. Neither have been able to fully move on... On the fifth anniversary of his death, Mason and Piper unexpectedly are faced with each other and the feelings they've denied and kept hidden for too long. Both of them think one night will be enough to get the other out of their system. Both of them are wrong. Seeing each other more and more, things get hotter and hotter between them. But the past still haunts both of them and nothing was as it seemed then. Will either of them be able to let go of the past and move to a future together? Every Breath You Take was a fast paced, very steamy read. The main plot about moving on from loss, the guilt that lives on in those left behind, and the struggles they face was strong and realistic. I liked Piper and Mason, and the sparks between them must have been visible for miles, but at times it seemed like that was all that was between them because sex was a major part of their journey. A lot of sex. At times it felt appropriate, but at other times I felt like yes, they can have that, but let's move on. They do move on somewhat, but the journey to any kind of relationship between them is fraught with assumptions and miscommunications that might mean they lose their chance to be together. Their journey was an emotional one that at time I could feel part of, but at other times was on the outside looking in. I found Piper and Mason a little difficult to connect with because of that. A second chance romance that shows how important communication and self forgiveness is, I'd recommend Every Breath You Take to romance readers who want like a high heat level. I received a free copy for an honest review.

A forbidden one night stand with her high school crush turns into something Piper Thomas never imagined possible. Piper was once engaged to Mason Hunter’s brother Colton, who died in a motorcycle accident five years ago. She blames herself for Colton’s death because they broke up that night. Mason blames himself for letting Colton take his bike knowing he had never been on one before. Every year Colton’s parents have a get together with Piper on the anniversary of Colton’s death. Mason has never been present for these get togethers, but this time he was. Old thoughts and feelings are brought back to Piper. Mason was her first crush. Mason had been attracted to Piper since he first saw her, but she was off limits as she was his brother’s girlfriend. When Piper was leaving the Hunter’s house she finds her car with a flat tire. Mason is there to give her a ride home and offers to fix her car for her. What begins as a ride home ends up being so much more. The weeks that follow become something neither of them had ever imagined. A great story with likable characters and a good storyline made this book fun and quick to read. Be sure to have a cool drink by your side as the intimate scenes are very realistic.
