I have played golf since I was 10 yrs old and are familiar with all the conventional golf stats that are repeated on television.  Plus, I was interested in better understanding the stat referred to as strokes gained putting.  Not only did I get a better understanding of this analysis, but was fascinated to realize all the analysis in the book was based on facts and not just repeated concepts.  Therefore, it gives you a better understanding of how to evaluate ones own progress, or lack of, in this crazy game called golf .

I found lots of useful information. It disproves many common golf myths. It will provide some good conversation the next time my playing partners tell me to hit an iron off the tee, lay up to 100 yards, or that you drive for show but putt for dough. The only negatives are that it can be a bit repetitive and it has some color graphs that are hard to read on my nook.
