A great book for introducing mediation into parenting. A real must to get through the hard days and realise that there is good in them too.

A little too hippy and let them have what they want when they want style of parenting. Maybe it was the way I was raised but kids are supposed to listen. That said the "mindfulness" that is at the center of the book is critical to not only shepherding your children through the start of their life but for the parents to cope with what can be enormous mental and emotional pressure. Immanent catastrophe indeed.

This book taught me how to stop losing my temper with my kids. I shudder to think how it would have been if I hadn't read it. Worth every penny.

This is by far the best parenting book I have encountered. Practical, not mystical --you don't need to be highly spiritual to learn from it. I wish my parents had read this book. I have read this book, from cover to cover, more than once. I can't say that about any other parenting book.

This book confirms the basic techniques I used in rasing my child - who is now a well adjusted adult. In addition I taught my child about a God unlike the God I was raised with. The concepts needed to accomplish the latter, can be found in the book An Encounter With A Prophet or as a second choice Conversations With God
