After practicing all the wonderful exercises in Everyday Meditation, it is a like a light was turned on in me. I found my inner core self. It was also a healing inside me, learning how to forgive people that had hurt me, I experienced peacefulness and most importantly learning how to live in the moment, not thinking about the past or the future. What a great gift that this fantastic book opened up a new world inside me. I highly recommend it, I really did experience better health, stress relief and everyday joy.
Everyday Meditation is a great Meditation book. After a really helpful introdcution Tobin Blake gives a series of 100 Introductions and Meditation to directly apply to your daily life. It does not take long time and it is really effective, after a couple of days you alread feel great with your life and have a much more optimistic and realistic point of view. These 100 days are grouped in blocks of 10 days, where each of them has a specific purpose which is discussed in the beginning of each block. So that you can really understand and apply the concept he is explaining. This is Tobin's second book (the first one is called The Power of Stillness) and both of them are really great! Especially if you are new to meditation this is a easy and useful starter. And if you have been meditating for longer time this is a great book to return with many mantras, exercises and so on to give you new ideas. I definitely recomment this book.
Just the book that I was looking for! I have tried meditating on and off over the years without a lot of success. This book was a turning point for me. The book is written in a kind and wise manner, with lessons that are interesting and approachable. The format of short daily lessons, with little bits of wisdom thrown in is perfect. The lessons help me focus in a way I have never been able to before, and I find myself looking forward to my daily meditation. I am so glad I found this book. Thank you Tobin Blake!
