I definitely recommend this book. Mr. Schmitz is a genius!
I have found this book invaluable in my work with grassroot organizational development. The clarity of values and real-life examples take it beyond "some kind of community-driven philosophy" and into the real world of actualizing mission from the community up - - from the inside out. I was struck by how keenly Paul Schmitz lays out a framework which our organization has intuitively been trying to develop, but has not quite captured. It will be a resource that I turn to over and over again.
