great music- great variety- love to listen to this- from dancing music to quieter listening. This is the first disc we've listened to from My Morning Jacket, and we will be buying more- several of our friends who heard it here went out to get it

I can't believe I only hear about this band 6 months ago. They are incredible. I can't stop listening to the CD. Nothing else coming out today sounds like this band. My standards are really high and I rarely write good reviews but My Morning Jacket blows me away. 70's funk meets Grateful Dead but the bottom line is that this CD is packed with some great songs. You might be confused at first due to the variety of songwriting but you won't be disappointed

Evil Urges has taken over my cd player. After many wary listens, the diverse sounds that make a complete musical experience made more and more listens necessary. The band really melds into each other making a tighter, fuller sound. No this isn't the MMJ of the past and it shouldn't be. It is the band now and they still are THE band.

Evil Urges is such a downgrade from My Morning Jacket's older stuff. This album is no genre-bending transformation, its pretty much drivel. There is just no excuse for this album to follow such great work.
