I thought the fight was over.
But I was wrong.
Emi Tsukijima might have killed Yuriko and rid Tokyo of the Hinowa demon clan, but fate has something far more devastating in store for her.
She's changing. Yuriko's blood courses through her veins, turning her into something a little less human...something she refuses to accept or acknowledge.
Demons from neighboring cities, long held at bay by Yuriko's clan , are invading Tokyo, intent on taking the vast city for themselves.
To stop the massacre of all she holds dear, Emi must make the ultimate sacrifice: become the very thing she fears most.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really liked this book. The characters were great. The dialogue was well written. I recommend it. L.
This book is the second one in the Immortals series. Emi has rid Tokyo of a clan of demons, but in the process may have become one herself even if she won’t admit it. However, when a rival clan wants Tokyo for themselves, Emi may have to become what she fears she’s becoming, even if it means she gives up her very life. I am new to this author, and I have become a big fan. When an opportunity came up to read this book, I jumped at the chance, even though I hadn’t read the first in the series. From my past experience with Ms. Jameson, I was sure she would do a good enough job at explaining that I wouldn’t have had to read the first one and I was right! I was able to jump right into the well-written book, without really missing anything. As in the book I had read before, Ms. Jameson is excellent at setting a scene, has great characters, and an interesting plot. I do have to mention Emi was a little wishy-washy at times which made me want to yell at her, but this really didn’t hamper my enjoyment. I am looking forward to more books in this series as I want to see how Emi does with the events at the end of the book (no spoilers!). Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
