Overview

Seventeen year old Jade Sommers' life is turned upside down the moment she sees the inch long cut across her face heal right before her eyes.

Jade thinks she is going insane, but her boyfriend, Aiden Scott, knows better. He knows what she is. And like him, she was born this way.

Now if finding out that people like her shouldn't exist isn't bad enough, Jade's best friend is kidnapped by the psycho who terrorises her dreams. With the help of Aiden, Jade has to figure out how to save her before it's to late.

But what Jade doesn't know is not everything is what it seems. She is merely a puppet in a sadistic game to find out what she is truly capable of, and that game has only just begun.

This is a great 300 something page book. It is about a girl that finds out that she is extraordinary and can use more than 1/8 of her brain unlike a normal person, she has specal powers because of that. Her boyfriend and his parents also have this "power". There is more in the storie like a kidnaping, but that was the gist. I didn't start the book with very high exspections because there was no summerys or people that had reviewed it yet but i thought that it was a great book. I would recomend it if someone wanted to kill some time, but i think the plot of the book could have been longer. If there was the option of a half a star i would have rated it 3 1/2.

It was alright. Good for people who like mysterious action books and ginormous cliff-hangers. Characters just felt too one dimentional and not developed enough. The plot was interesting, though. Id probably read the next book if it was free.

Someone would always wonder what it is if the human could actually evolve. Granted, this series is a but paranormal but it's the otherworldly that truly is intriguing to the human mind. DNA and the human mind are one of the great mysteries of the world. Will definitely find the second book. Nothing too graphic and a good novel for teens!

Clever idea on how our minds would work if we used more of our brain......worth the read, buying the next in the series.

At first i thought the book was going to be some weird futuristic stuff so i put off reading it. But boy was i wrong. Its a great story about a girl learning about herself and her boyfriend while searching for her missing friend. I dont think i can do the book justice, but i tried. Its about 300 pages and is pretty clean compared to others. Read it. And enjoy.

I loved this book!! I enjoyed reading it and the plot was very interesting and fast-paced. I would reccommend this book for teenagers who enjoy reading romance/mystery/action+adventure.

Jade is your average 17-year old high-schooler with the hot boyfriend and good grades. She is perfectly normal, that is, until she gets into a serious car accident and magically heals in front of her own eyes. What is this super power and what’s going on? Jade’s boyfriend, Aiden, is more than meets the eye and together they will have to figure out what happened to Jade’s best friend when she disappears. If you want a fast easy read with the female special chosen one, a bit of romance, and continuous action, then this is your novel. This book featured a nice blend of action and mystery but was altogether too short for me to fully get into the plot or the characters. The book kept me intrigued and kept me turning pages, but the plot was a little too much like all the other Chosen One tropes with a teen superhero that has evolved – suddenly – beyond normal human capacity. In essence, despite the action, the book was a bit boring because it presented nothing new. The main character, Jade, was frustrating because she couldn’t guess what was laid plainly for the reader. A lot of the world building was left out of the novel. What do the characters look like? I didn’t even realize we were in Australia, other than the spelling of “sceptical” multiple times to indicate we weren’t in North America. This book and its world building could have benefited from being longer and taking more time to go into depth into the si-fi/fantasy element and the background/personalities of the characters. The ending also left something to be desired. Overall it was a fun read, but I won’t be reading any more from this author.

Didn't think I would like it but really enjoyed it. Wish we knew what happened to the dog though.

138 pages. I didn't get all the way through this book and it takes a good reason for me to quit a book. I have pretty low standards because I only read free books but it was too awkward and I couldn't finish.
