Evolutionary Computation: The Fossil Record / Edition 1 available in Hardcover
Featuring copious introductory material by distinguished scientistDr. David B. Fogel, this formidable collection of 30 landmarkpapers spans the entire history of evolutionary computationfromtoday's investigations back to its very origins more than 40 yearsago. Chapter by chapter, Fogel highlights how early ideas havedeveloped into current thinking and how others have been lost andawait rediscovery. The introductions to each chapter reflectFogel's one-on-one conversations with the authors and theircolleagues, conducted over a period of four years. EvolutionaryComputation: The Fossil Record provides in-depth historicalinformation and technical detail that is simply unmatched in thefield. This volume is complete with an extensive bibliography ofrelated literature.
Evolutionary Computation: The Fossil Record will be ofparticular interest to researchers and students in need of acomprehensive resource on this fascinating area of computerscience. Historians will also find the book thoroughlyengaging.
