Wow! When my friend's mother told me that this book scared her, I didn't think it could be that powerful. I was wrong. The book by itself is intriguing, and it's fun to watch Preston plot to hide all Dyongo's secrets, but when you visit the "Exit America" fan page after you read the book, and you realize that this may not be totally fiction, it DOES scare you. The author leads you into this world of corruption and conspiracies so skillfully that you can totally see how the America in the book could end up a dictatorship. And then you see the videos and read the articles on the fan page and it makes it really hard to shrug these theories off. If you're into politics--read it. Or if you just want a good thriller--read it. Just don't visit the fan page until the next morning or you may not be able to sleep that night!

I would never have picked up this book on my own but a friend gave me her copy and asked me to read it. If even half of the events in this are true, it's beyond horrifying. The book says that a lot of the content is based on facts so I went to the Facebook page and followed some of the links. They take you to articles and videos that provide evidence for things in the book. It made the book seem that much more real. All I can say is that everybody should read it. It will change the way you look at the government and the media.

This is one of those truth-meets-fiction novels. If you want to get a good sense of what happened, politically, in this country between 2008 and today--the events that brought us to the disastrous straits we're in--read this book. Worth the read. Yes, it's obviously fiction. On the other hand, it's obviously based on reality. If you follow the news, you'll recognize a lot of the characters and events. I wish every American would read it and take to heart the message it conveys. The author shows what will happen if Americans don't get a clue and stand up to the rampant corruption in government. Scary stuff.
