Excellent portrayal of a woman's life - her hardships and joys will reach your heart. You will certainly be able to connect in some way to any one or many of her experiences. Very well written.

I enjoyed going back in time with this woman as she begins her story of her life. She takes you through good and bad times and keeps you interested till you reach the end at the present time. As I read the last page, I was hoping there would be more. I hope she continues with her saga - she had quite an interesting life to the age of sixty and she is still going strong. Anyone would enjoy her story - very smooth reading.

I find it hard to believe this is the authors first book but hopefully not her last. The read, for me, was like taking a long cold drink of water in the desert, so simple yet quenching and refreshing. She took us on a ride back in time where you often felt like a voyeur, unable to stop reading because you had to know what happens to her next. Throughout the book her love for her children, grandchildren and fury family makes you understand why we all endure the worst because at the end of the day you know it was worth it. You go girl!

The author drew me in more and more with each successive page as she took me on an emotional journey through the story of her life...the ups and downs...the joys and the sadness...the uncompromising dedication to family. She artfully weaves all those aspects of her life that have meaning to her: her men, her children, her health issues and more into a cohesive blend that left me experiencing what she must have experienced. I laughed with her and cried with her. I felt her pain and luxuriated in her happiness. This is one strong woman and one outstanding writer! I hope she has more to share with us in her next book.

Well written good read, flowed very smoothly. Takes you back to a time, not so long ago, but so very different from today's standards of life. This is a woman with stamina who managed to overcome the hurdles of life that came her way. Enjoyed it tremendously and couldn't put it down till I finished.

I started reading this book while on vacation, and couldn't put it down. This book is rich with life experiences of a woman and her family from childhood to grandchildren. You will quickly connect with the story line traveling back to a time when things were much more simple. Developing into the complexities of adolescence, womanhood, motherhood, divorce, and becoming a grandmother. You will easily find yourself absorbed into this journey.

Hi Kalee! I LOVE IT. Very genuine, from the heart, something that no matter who you are, you can relate to it. Everyone has battles and ups and downs and this book certainly makes you feel 'normal' with all that happened to you 'you had plenty!' I do think it is a book that many women will find interesting as it appeals to mothers, women in relationships with men, people that have had health issues 'cancer, injuries and that arthritis', people who go into business for themselves and the struggles they face, divorced women, the importance of estate planning, being a pet lover, etc. There is really something in there for everyone to relate to in some way.

This is a story about a woman's life that has twists and turns that will leave you unable to put it down. The authors words flow so smoothly that it is easy to get lost in them. She takes you through her pains, frustrations and joys of life as she remembers them, so thoroughly that empathizing with her comes naturally as you read. The book makes you want to know more after it ends. I look forward to more from this author, she really captured my heart in her story.

When I first started reading this book, it drew me right in with the first page. When I finished the last page I wanted more! The author's love for her children and grandchildren dominates this book. I feel any woman will relate to her experiences. I found her relationships with the men in her life to be most interesting and heartfelt, and will surely bring tears to your eyes. I loved her take on life, her humor, her sadness and happiness. I'm loooking forward to the next book.
