About the Author

Robert Negron is a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through a series of events, the Lord inspired him to start taking pictures of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets of South Florida. In his first book, Robert has compiled some of his best photos and scriptures to send a message of God's love. Take time to dwell on each photo and it's reflection of the beauty that god gives us through his creation. In Psalm 19:1, the psalmist David says, "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handiwork." Take time to reflect on the creative nature of our Lord as he displays his love through his amazing creation.

CHAPTER 1

Above all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection! Col 3:14

Here the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Christians in Colasse, lays it on the line. He clearly states that "above all", the most important aspect of a Christian's life is to love. Not self-gratifying or self-serving love but a life of sacrificial love. The kind of love that Jesus portrayed while on the cross giving His life that we may have eternal life. The kind of love that challenges us to forgive not only those we love but our enemies as well. To not respond when we have every right to and to seek to understand others before we can be understood. A love that looks into the hearts of others to see their pain. A love that speaks of unity and fellowship as opposed to division. Jesus calls us to a life that we can't live on own but one that we can with Him. Only He can give this type of love. Embrace Christ and come to know His love that you may then offer it to others! Is there someone you need to show love to today?

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that through Him all would be saved!!

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that through Him all might be saved. John 3:16

The most famous verse in all of God's Word. God gave that we might live! God gave that we may experience eternal life with Him. God gave that we may live blessed lives. He gave first, then we must respond. He gave His Son to be crucified, humiliated, spat upon and bore our sin that we may live. Christianity is not based upon how good we are but based upon how great He is! He did it all that we might live for Him! Have you received His atoning sacrifice on the cross?

Prayer: Dear Lord, I accept the gift of eternal life through the shedding of Your blood at Calvary. Wash me, cleanse me, purify me and make me an instrument of Your peace. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

I am the light of the world, he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have light of life! John 8:12

In the book of John, Jesus shows us an analogy referring to Himself as the light of the world who can remove darkness. In the same way a flash light brings light to a dark room, following Jesus will over time begin to remove the dark stains and areas of your life and transform you into a light that cannot be hidden. He asks us to come along with Him in the journey of life; to give up our old ways to live in His ways! This is an exchange you will never regret. His plan is always better than ours so allow Him to transform your attitude by removing negativity, insecurity, jealousy and fear. Learn to live with confidence knowing that the Light of the World is shining on you with His amazing love. This is Christ-like power. As you go through your day, are you bringing with you the light and love of Jesus?

Prayer: Dear Lord, create in me a pure heart and shine Your light on my life that I may bring You the glory you rightly deserve. Remove the dark stains from my life that keep me from receiving all of Your best. I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

And we know God works all things for good to those who love Him and are called for His purpose! Romans 8:28

This is one of my favorite scripture which I've come to trust and speaks to the sovereignty of God. Knowing He will even use my failures, disappointments and sin for His good is simply amazing. Is there something that happened in your past that is keeping you down? Have you lost your joy in life because of something you just can't forget? Forgive yourself, accept what happened and trust that He is using that very situation for your good. His love is not dependent upon our actions for His grace is unmerited. It's not something we deserve but His nature. His grace, mercy and love cover our sin. Ask for forgiveness and He will make all things new! Forgive and you will be forgiven. Forgiveness doesn't mean that what happened was right but it's purpose is to free us from the bondage of bitterness and hatred. We are then free to love and hope again! You can count on His promises so trust in His Word that He will work everything together for your good. One day you could be helping someone who is going through the same thing you are right now. Learn from your mistake and trust that His Word will not return void!

Prayer: Dear Lord, take my mistakes, my failures, my sins and use them for Your glory! I know you love me and have called me according to Your purpose. Work all things in my life for good! I ask this in Jesus Name.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love and a sound mind. 2nd Timothy 1:7

Do you often find yourself worrying about the future, a financial burden, a rebellious teenager, your health or something else? Are these worries now dominating your thoughts? If so, you've probably taken your eyes off of God and are no longer trusting in His Word. In Christ we are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds as we learn to cast our cares upon Him. He died that we may live for Him without being burdened by the cares of the world. He knows our needs and will meet them in His time and in the way He wants to. Learn to live each day in faith for He is a loving Father who can be trusted even in the most difficult times. Keep an eternal mindset and know that one day you will see Him face to face in His love, splendor and glory! Cast your cares upon Him and live for Him. Life is short so don't waste another day in fear or worrying about what might happen. Instead, choose to find your purpose in Him using your unique gifts and talents that you may touch others with His love!

Prayer: Lord, take my fear away and replace it with your power, love and a sound mind. Give me clarity as I find my purpose in You alone! I ask this in Jesus name, Amen!

Walk in love as Christ has loved and given Himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God! Ephesians 5:2a.

Jesus obeyed His Father by giving Himself as an offering and sacrifice for us by accepting what would be His horrific death on the cross at Calvary. This was not something He asked for as He knew it would separate Him from His Father, something that had never previously happened. He knew it would take every ounce of strength and while on the cross even cried out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" But for us the good news is that He obeyed His Father. When we see what Jesus did on the cross, we can learn to act in the same manner in our own lives, unselfishly giving to others. Many acts of love occur around the world every day. A mom who sacrifices for her child, a dad who goes to work each day to make sure there is food on the table and a roof over his family's head, a wife who waits for her husband to come back from a foreign country while he fights for his country. These are all wonderful acts of sacrifice and examples of Christ's love. Is the Lord asking you to demonstrate this type of love to someone you know?

By the Word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth! Psalm 33:6

God's Word creates a framework for all things that have ever been created! His Word encompasses all truth which we find in Jesus Christ! There is nothing outside His control, nothing outside His wisdom, nothing outside His sovereignty. He spoke creation into existence demonstrating to us the power of the spoken word. Great accomplishments all started with a thought and then a spoken word. Consider the words you use throughout the day. Are you using them to build up or tear down others in your life? Our words can encourage or they can discourage. Let's put on the truth of Christ's love and choose to edify one another, for the in the book of James we are told that our words can defile when not used wisely.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me choose my words wisely. Help me focus on Your goodness and love and not be critical of others. I understand that there is power in my words to give or destroy life. Bridle my tongue when I have nothing good to say. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

God is light, in Him there is no darkness at all! 1John 1:5

Scripture often gives us a contrast between light and darkness which is also a perfect analogy for good and evil. In this scripture, the Apostle John tells us that in God we only find light, goodness, perfection and righteousness; nothing impure, unholy or unrighteous. This scripture, more than suggests that, as we draw close to God, we will inevitably become more like Him as His light permeates our soul. We become more holy, pure, righteous, forgiving and most of all free from the bondage of sin. Allow the Light of the world to change you through His word and you'll see how His truth has set you free!

Prayer: Dear Lord, in Your mercy, draw me close to Your beautiful light which purifies me, making me holy, more loving and best of all like You! I ask this in Jesus name, Amen!

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance. 1st Corinthians 13:7

Is there something in your life worth fighting for? Could it be your marriage, a relationship with a family member or a cause that you feel is important or passionate about? In this scripture we are reminded that, at times in life, we are called to fight for what we care about! We are filled with an enduring type of love that says, "this is worth all my effort and I will not be defeated nor will I give up!" Each person should have something in their life they would be willing to fight for. It is in this fight we often draw close to God and find our purpose in Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, identify for me what you are calling me to do and what I should fight for. Help me help those who are lost and need Your loving guidance. Help me to stand for ________. Lead me to paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. In Jesus name, Amen!

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved. Acts 4:12

There is no other name where we can find our eternal salvation. The Holy Scriptures declare that Jesus Christ paid the price for our sin and Him alone. Every knee shall bow to the name ofJesus. See your sin on the cross upon which He died. See how much He loves you and was willing to do whatever the Father asked to assure your salvation. To assure that you would be with Him for eternity! He loves you that much and more than we could ever know or imagine.

Prayer: Dear Lord, "Thank You" for dying for my sins and giving me life, for my salvation comes from no one else. I look forward to being with You for all eternity when I can worship You continually. Thank you, Jesus for loving and dying for me!

Hope in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy and with Him abundant redemption. Psalm 130:7

Have you lost your hope? Are you discouraged, beaten down, bitter about how things have turned out? Look to the Lord who made you and knew you before the foundation of the world. Your situation hasn't caught Him off guard. He's not surprised by your circumstances nor are you in a place where you can't be restored. That's a lie from the enemy who wants to keep you discouraged. Pickup a bible, go to church, fellowship with other believers and you will be renewed, refreshed and see His love again in your life. He is always there but don't take Him for granted. He's reaching His merciful hand toward you so reach out and grab it. The stakes are too high not to include Him in your life as those who love you are counting on you! He loves you so call out to Him. In the end you will be glad you did!

Prayer: Dear Lord, restore my hope in You, build up my faith and help me see that You are with me and in complete control. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows Him! 1st John 4:7

In this scripture we are reminded where love comes from. It comes from God not ourselves. When you do something you're proud of always remember who's working behind the scenes. Be careful of letting your pride take credit for without Him we can do nothing. Love, forgive, have compassion and grace with a pure heart as this world can be a cold place. Seek God and find His amazing love that you may share it with others. Be a light in darkness! Give a smile to someone who is feeling alone, a hand to someone in need or an encouraging word to someone who has lost hope! Don't judge or be critical of others but instead have compassion on them. Life is hard and we all need to be picked at times. You are that vessel of love that God wants to use! Try it and change a life for the better! You are only one person, but to one person you may be the world!

Prayer: Dear Lord, fill me with the love, mercy and grace that only comes from You that I may bestow it upon others. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

The message of this scripture is to remind us that we have all fallen short of God's holiness, perfection, righteousness and so much more. We are sinful and often self-centered, usually only thinking about ourselves. But Jesus is always there to offer unconditional love and mercy to those who seek Him. As Christians we see the greatest demonstration of God's love when we look to the cross! Jesus suffered in the most horrific way, dying on a cross after being humiliated, misunderstood, spat on and beaten. Death on the cross was usually reserved for those who committed murder or some terrible crime, but Jesus had committed no sin. Instead, He displayed and taught love. He gave Himself that He may be the payment for our sin. For those who accept Him, through His blood, our sin is washed away. He did this while we were in darkness, often leading lives that were counter to the reason He created us, self-centered, hurting others without even thinking about it. He loved us first and we see this love when we accept His payment for our sin. He wants us to spend eternity with Him where there will be beauty like we have never seen! Where the roads will be paved with gold and we will be united with our loved ones to be with Him forever! Can you see your sinful nature and accept His amazing love? If so, watch as He makes all things new!

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I will trust! Psalm 91:2

David was a man after God's heart who comes to know His God as his refuge, his fortress, like a place to run to when times are hard. Are you going through a rough time or what you would consider a storm in your life? Do you need a place of refuge? Don't think that you're alone for our heavenly Father is right there with you hoping you may turn to Him. Call out to the Lord and trust in His perfect plan for your life. He can be trusted. He can be counted on for He always has our best interest in mind. He will always work all things together for good to those who love Him. Don't keep running from Him looking for the solutions in all the wrong places. Come to the creator and allow Him to take your burden and provide the protection you need as you begin to be transformed by His word. His love has no end!

Prayer: Dear Lord, You created the heavens and earth but also know my name. I need Your shelter, wisdom, rest and peace. I trust in Your perfect plan for my life. Help me see You in the midst of my pain! I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
