About the Author

Writing has been a part of my life since I was a child. Throughout the years I have completed several projects and am only now embracing this wonderful world of e-books. I have a little boy, and a business, but writing keeps me sane through it all. I'd love to hear from any readers who want to get in touch with questions or comments. So please don't hesitate. But in the mean time, enjoy! Scarlett https://www.scarlettfinn.com

This is not your typical romance story. If you are looking for a swoon-worthy protagonist, who makes gentle love to the heroine while whispering sweet nothing in her ear, this may not be the book for you. That being said, this book took my breath away! It is a dark and gritty romance that pushes the limits of what the heroine (and the reader) can take. I applaud Scarlett Finn for not shying away from the darker/dirtier parts of this book and staying true to the characters. Felicity (Flick) has no idea the turn her life has taken when she walks into a dark bar one night after being stranded. Enter Rushe, the dark and dangerous man who tried to warn her away in the first place. As Flick's situation goes from bad to worse, Rushe seems to be the only constant she can count on. This book has some very detailed scenes that may not be suitable for all readers, but that convey the rawness of the characters. Like I said earlier, Rushe is not some sweet and loving hero looking for the right woman. He can be a hard and brutal man, who knows what he wants and has no problem taking it, luckily Flick seems all to willing to give it to him. I would highly recommend this book, to readers that are comfortable with this type of genre, and I look forward to reading more from this amazing author.
