I really loved this great little book. It is not heavy and does not take long to read through. It is exactly as the title suggests, an exploration of prayer, looking at various aspects of prayer, broken into two main parts—‘What is Prayer?’ and ‘How to Pray.’ The twenty short chapters, with lovely photographic illustrations throughout, make this a simple, enjoyable read. I most enjoyed the way each chapter ended with two ‘Prayer Exercises,’ giving the reader forty different ideas on ways to pray. There are some lovely ideas to use in personal prayer and group settings and some of the creative exercises would work well in prayer workshops and home groups. This is a good tool for anyone open to new ideas on ways to pray, for people who find praying a little difficult sometimes, and also for new Christians. I shall be keeping this book to hand to use; it’s not just a book to read and put back on the shelf.”
"Beautiful photographs throughout the book illustrate words, phrases, and ideas. Exploring Prayer is a delightful, helpful book for use by an individual or by church books."
