Eye of the Storm by Monette Michaels

Book 1 of Security Specialists International will take you on a wild ride from Argentine jungles to snow swept Idaho. One alpha male. One determined and independent female. One hot, tumultuous relationship.

Keely Walsh has three doctorates, five older brothers and has never met a situation she couldn't handle. While consulting with the NSA, she discovers sensitive government information indicating her brother, a private security operative, is in danger. Keely travels to the dangerous Triple Frontier in South America to warn him and his colleagues and finds the last thing she expects--a man who sends icy shivers down her spine even as he lights every one of her fires.

Ren Maddox, co-owner of Security Specialists International, a security firm that works for large corporations and governments, is on an intelligence-gathering mission for the US government when a petite strawberry blonde armed with a Bren Ten and an attitude ten feet tall pops out of the Argentine jungle with a warning of imminent danger. The fact she is one hundred percent correct shocks him to his socks. The fact she is Tweeter Walsh's baby sister and can fight like the fiercest Marine is beside the point. No one who looks like Keely should ever be in danger. And once he gets her out of the current situation, he’ll make it his life's work to protect the feisty, sexy, little woman from any and all danger.

One alpha male. One determined and independent female. One hot, tumultuous relationship.

## NOT GREAT. Just barely ok. Some good things, some not so good. Ok, first of all, I love a beautiful heroine like Keely. I'm so tired of the authors who write plump, plain heroines just to be PC. I like my heroines beautiful. And strong. I love that the heroine was an excellent fighter, flew helicopters, and was an amazing sniper. THAT part I liked. But, I have to say, she really did get annoying after a while. Like when she thought she couldn't get pregnant after only one week of running out of birth control pills. Say what? A whole week? Jeez, she has 2 doctorates, went to MIT for Pete's sake. Also, I didn't like the brother's name (Tweetie). It was so distracting since he was in the book almost as much as the hero. And the h/h would always talk about her brothers and folks during sex. Bleh...talk about a mood killer. I wasn't impressed with the awkward sex scenes either. Sorry to say, it just wasn't good enough for me to buy any others of the series.

I love a book that is action packed. The women is a fighter not a victum who knows her own mind. You'll love this book! This is a book you can read over and over sgain and still love it! JW

Ok, keep in mind this is fiction, not true life. That having been said I spent an enjoyable afternoon with a really bad cold reading this story. The heroine really belongs in a fantasy novel with the rest of her kick butt sisters, but that didn't stop me from laughing out loud.

could she be any more annoying? been there, done everything by the time she was 23 but was away at school all of that time. I get it's fiction, but it should have some glimmer of making sense. Forced myself to finish anyway - will not buy the author again - and will delete from my nook.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I highly recommend it. Fast paced, strong characters. 400+ pages. I will read more by this author and I cannot wait for book 2.
