Another great novel from Rebecca Forster that readers will find hard to put down. The whole Josie Bates clan figures into the flowing story line. Ms Forster’s visualizations are exquisite and I can clearly imagine a director managing the scenes for a movie. This author keeps her finger on the plausible - well mostly except that you might need to suspend a bit of disbelief where the underage characters come into contact with social services. My only criticism is a section near the end that lags just a little as the plot is micromanaged; maybe it was just that I was so anxious for the resolution. The ending was laudable but my imagination also takes off with alternatives for that movie. Can’t wait for the next Witness installment.

Once again Rebecca entertains us and keeps us glued to her series in EYWITNESS #5 in a series that introduced us to Josie Bates, Archer and Hanannh .This story starts out on the other side of the world and can get a bit confusing but then takes us back to Hermosa beach were a storm is brewing in more ways then one! The exceptional author of the Witness series makes you hear the thunder, feel the pounding rain and takes you inside the lives of the beloved characters once again. This book is a must-read if you are a fan of the series. Once again Ms. Forster leaves you wanting more

Rebecca Forster not only draws you in with the suspense of this book but also the characters that become so real. Rebecca Forster is the best. She always chooses the path you wouldn't. This was a great adventure wrapped up in suspense. It's a roller coaster ride I'd gladly ride from time to time. This is a riveting series. Hard to put down once you start reading it. Lots of unexpected turns and twists, very exciting. This just keeps you on edge waiting for what's around the corner! I love this author! I read a lot of Koontz, Patterson, Connelly, Coben ... they were starting to blend together. In my opinion, Rebecca Forster is my favorite author out there.

Though the plot was interesting, Eyewitness was a slow read in comparson to the other witness books. I didnt find it as engaging or as.interesting as the others.

Fifth in the witness series. An interesting mix of cultural differences, laced with intrigue. Forster left it wide open for another book-hoping there will be one.

Another great book. It's a series I just want to keep going. Missed not have a next book on this one. Maybe Rebecca will surprise me and get another one out soon for Ms. Bates.

I’ve read three of the four prior books in this series and although having done so isn’t a prerequisite to understand or enjoy this book, when I evaluate why I liked it, one of the biggest reasons are the characters, specifically Josie Bates and her foster child, Hannah. Eyewitness can be read as a standalone and Forster introduces the bare bones of their back story, but I couldn’t help wondering if doing so wouldn’t be missing out on some of what I saw and felt, having made the previous investment and having the deeper understanding of the characters that I had coming in. Josie is an attorney and the books in the series are legal thrillers, yet they have more heart than the typical book in this genre, largely because the legal conflict is usually much more personal for Josie. In this installment, that personal stake is because her client is Billy Zuni, a friend of Hannah’s who has been a secondary, but far from trivial character in previous books. As Josie digs, she discovers that much of what she thought she knew about Billy wasn’t quite reality. This is also unlike a typical legal thriller because of the way it weaves elements of a foreign culture and how that can influence the life of US immigrants into the story. I highly recommend this book for fans of legal thrillers. Even more, I’d recommend backtracking to the first of the series and reading them all. **Originally written for "Books and Pals" book blog.
