This book, "Fabled Flowers" is an excellent jumping-off point for adding some dimension to your art quilts. Although the fabrics shown are now dated (as will always happen), it is easy to choose current fabrics to make new art. I like to tweak the designs a little to make them my own, but complete instructions are given for those who like to strictly follow a pattern. The book is great for inspiration, and I have had all kinds of great ideas for new projects just from poring over the designs in this beautiful book. Kumiko Sudo has even written little stories about each flower, making this a beautifully complete book. I had to buy my own copy because our quilt guild library couldn't keep a copy; members kept making off with them. That is how enticing a book this is!
