Author of numerous performances, printed projects and events since the 1980s, the Swiss artist Fabrice Gygi has always cultivated a social and political dimension in his work. This publication surveys all aspects of the artist's output and revises the original edition published in 2005.

About the Author
Fabrice Gygi was born in Geneva in 1965 and attended art school there. Beginning as a performance artist, he eventually began working in installation and has been exhibiting in Europe for more than a decade. In the United States, he has shown at the Swiss Institute in New York and had his first major museum exhibition at the Orange County Museum of Art in 2005.
John Miller received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977 and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1979. For the past two decades, he has written extensively for Artforum, October, and Texte zur Kunst, as well as numerous museum publications. In 1991 he founded Acme Journal. He has taught art at Columbia University, the School of Visual Arts in New York, and Yale University. The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Carnegie Mellon Museum in Pittsburgh feature his work in their collections. He is based in New York.
