Overview

Success hasn't spoiled Sully Erna. Godsmack's leader made his mark on millions by raging against, well, just about everything you'd care to mention -- and he continues to air his grievances on this follow-up to his band's self-titled, multi-platinum breakthrough. Names aren't named, but the No. 1 spot is probably held by the object of "I F--king Hate You," a spasmodically lurching riff-fest punctuated by some of Erna's fiercest howls. "I Stand Alone" is similarly disaffected in tone, but the band -- particularly guitarist Tony Rombola -- holds back a little, replacing full-throttle roar with a lower-pitched but still menacing rumble. On "Serenity" (the last word one would normally use in any description of these New Englanders), Godsmack even daub a layer of orchestration over their largely acoustic chord progressions. For the most part, however, Faceless retains the energy-über-alles philosophy that's made Godsmack virtually unassailable at the top of rock's list of most moshable metallurgists.

Godsamack's new cd FACELESS is definitely worth purchasing! FACELESS, as well as Godsmack's self-titled debut and sophmore release AWAKE, are packed with awesome tracks with hardcore beats and inspirationally aggressive lyrics.Godsmack's influences include Rush, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Metallica. However, Godsmack is one of a kind and their cds are experiences worth buying.

Faceless is Godsmacks best work yet. Every song on this album is amazing, beautiful to listen to. Godsmack has proven in this album that they have grown lyrically, melodically, and instrumentally while keeping their hard rock edge which makes them who they are. I highly recommend this album to all the Godsmack fans that have not yet purchased it and to anyone who loves Rock music. This album is the best!!!! Their is a song on this album for everyone. Godsmack will no longer be Faceless after this album. ROCK on!

Godsmack's most recent release, "Faceless", is the best new album out there. Godsmack has proven once again that they are one of the best, if not the best metal bands out there.

I know I do not 'Stand Alone' when I say Faceless has to be Godsmack's best album to date. They have produced a work of art that can be played over and over, all the way through without a hitch. Each and every song on the CD is a small story to delve into with pleasure. "Serenity", the accoustical song at the end of the CD is a soothing lyrical journey for your mind. And if you need to really bang your head, turn it up for "Releasing the Demons" and you can annoy the neighbors. Get it today and know what true rock is all about.

This album is one of the best ones Godsmack has released. From beginning to end, all the tracks keep you asking for more. The first track "Straight out of line" was an excellent choice to start off the album. It's thrilling guitar riffs and pounding drum beats make this album a great buy. "Releasing the demons" is one track that is all too familiar with the likes of Godsmacks. Overall this album is all thumbs up and a great buy for the rock fanatics.

Godsmack has always given the fans what they need to relieve the built stress of daily life. With this, their third album, they do just that. In this cd you'll find fast riffs and awesome solos. While all the songs are amazing, I've found "I F***ing Hate You" to be the favorite of all. This song is filled with awesome riffs and Sully Erna saying what else but "I f***ing hate you". Yes, that's right, the foursome still have plenty of anger and frustration to last a lifetime. While I don't want the guys to get mad all the time or be put through alot of bad times, the songs that are a result from those situations are simpily amazing. Other great tracks include "Straight Out Of Line", "Faceless", and "Serenity". You can also find the great Scorpion King song "I Stand Alone". I highly recommend this, for the lack of a better word, phenomenal cd.

If your a metal head from the old school, you have to see the similarity to Black Sabbath. These bands are almost identical in every way, except Godsmack has a little faster tempo. I saw these guys a couple of months ago and they are the best live heavy band I have ever seen. Fantastic rhythm section, and a guitar sound that really fits their style. Hope they continue to crank.

faceless the new punch driven high energy album by godsmack. This album is amazing. Maybe even one of the best of godsmack's records. Lots of energy, amazing lyrics. If you enjoyed godsmack's other two album's you should love this one.

I didn't like this album at first, but after it had gotten a lot of publicity, I decided to give it another chance. Wow was I glad I did. I think the reason I didn't like it was the fact that their first drummer had chose to quit (will miss you always, Tommy!:)!), but the new drummer is good, and I mean reeeeeeaaaaally good! I had heared the song "I Stand Alone" when I had bought The Scorpion King soundtrack, and, since I like that song and it was on this album, I decided to give the CD another listen. Now it's on my list of CDs I want. I still think "Awake" is their best album, though, but this one is still worth buying.

This has got to be Godsmack's best album so far, it really is amazing. It is unlike what they have done before, Sully's range of vocals are better than they've ever been, Shannon's drumming is so unique, Robbie's bass playing is as good as ever and Tony's guitar riffs are just brilliant. Key tracks to look out for are Serenity, I Am and Releasing The Demons. All in all this is a really great album to get into, I can't stop listening to it. Some great tracks to blast out really loud and release some anger to and then one even better track to chill out to - which seems to sum up the whole album's feel. The only low point of this album I feel is "I Stand Alone" simply because it has been over-played so much. If you are a Godsmack or Heavy Metal/Rock fan definitely check this one out, you will not be disappointed.

Faceless is a must have for all rockers out there, this CD is beyond words, but I will do my best to describe it.... So here goes.... But trust me buy it and you will be thrilled that you did.... Godsmack's latest triumph Faceless Is SOOO Awesome, Straight out of line, is spectacular, my fave song is Re-Align, the vocals by Sully are riveting, his voice there is no comparison for, This CD is great all the way through, not just the normal 1-2 good songs on a cd, we all have some of those in our collections... This is awesome from song 1 all the way to song 12... This is the best new release I have bought!!! I play it all the time, totally recomend this one!!!!!

I picked up this cd the day it came out, and im glad that i did. This album has lots of good tracks, my favorite being "Serenity", an acoustic song which is real cool. Other than that, it's typical ass kickin Godsmack that we've always known. Pick this album up, trust me.

Godsmack's latest CD is one that I really like. It isn't my favorite disk of the bands three (I give that honor to "Awake")but it's still Godsmack, and it's still good.

This is heart pounding straight up in your face hard rock. This CD is guaranteed to satisfy any hard rock fan from the crunching guitar riffs, pounding drum rhythems, and powerful vocals. This will reach up and smack you right in the face.

When I first listend to this CD, I didn't really like it at first. After it had gotten a lot of publicity from Godsmack fans, though, I decided to listen to it again. Good thing that I did! I think the only reason I didn't like it in the first place was that their drummer left (we'll miss you, Tommy!)but their new drummer is reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllly good. (Really good is an understatement!) I had heared the song "I Stand Alone" when I bought the Scorpion King soundtrack. I liked that song, so why I didn't warm up to the album in the first place I'll never know. It's still not what I consider their best album (I give that honor to "Awake") but it's not a dissapointment, they still rock. Go pick up this album, you'll be glad you did.

This album harkens back to the days of great 80's metal. It's what Metallica would be if "Load" never happened. Unfortunately the first release from the album, "Straight Out of Line", was slightly less than expected quality, but if you skip past it on the first listen you'll discover that Godsmack continue to travel back in time, searching for heavy metal that was actually good, with a touch of Godsmack flair. Granted, it follows the path of "Awake" and starts to dull near the end, but overall it triumphs over the last two albums. (Track seven: best song ever!)

Godsmack has once again managed to blow me away! This album is by far better than the last two from Godsmack, (and that's saying a lot) The sounds are more melodic, and rhythmic, but still keep that same Godsmack sound that we all know and love! There's something for everyone in this album! There's high energy Rock, heavy stomp your feet rock, there's a little groove, and even something to relax to with "Serenity". I love this album! This is going to be Godsmack's year to ROCK THE WORLD!
