About the Author

Brent McDougal has had two great loves throughout his life: faith and politics. He grew up in Alabama, and after graduating from Emory University, Brent began to serve churches while pursuing a seminary degree from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University and a PhD in political science from the University of Alabama. He lives in Dallas, Texas, and serves Cliff Temple Baptist Church as pastor. Brent is married to Jennifer and has two children, Christopher and Emily.
