Sam was a mess in this book.  I'm glad she has Mason and Logan by her side now but I do not like that she is becoming dependent on them.  She was so strong in book 1 because she was alone and trusted no-one.  She doesn't have to be alone to still be independent and fight back.  I am ready for her to fight back and stop running.  Logan is hilarious as usual.  He and Mason have to the best attitude when it comes to taking care of themselves and the ones they love.  I love this series and the characters.  This is one of my favorite series even if it is high school.

I haven't been able to put this series down. As soon as one book is finished, I have to start the next to see what is going to happen. Sam and Mason are now together, but not everyone is happy. Her mother is still causing issues, but Mason and Logan are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Sam. Those two close ranks around Sam, and won't let anyone, including all the parents, come between the three of them. Heading into the next book. I can't stop reading them and are devouring them.

All the families in this series are messed up. Seriously, every.single.one.of.them. I don’t think there is one sane adult in the whole lot. No wonder we can’t expect our high school aged children to make good choices, they don’t have good examples! Okay, obviously that is the Mom in me coming out from reading about the messed up lives the characters in the Fallen Crest series. Anyway, Fallen Crest Family is very much like the first book in this series in that it is full of more high school drama. So much stupid, crazy high school drama. I mean seriously, at one point in my notes I wrote down, ‘What the heck is this book?’ The entire time is roughly a 2 week time frame and it’s full of some crazy stuff. One high point for this book we get Mason’s point of view during the story and I liked being able to see what his thoughts were as well. I like having a view into the guy mindset. Our heroine, Sam has a slew of issues but they all first world problems. There are ‘popular girls giving mean looks’ issues, my ‘mom is crazy’ issues, and of course the ever popular ‘I get turned on every time I look at my boyfriend’ issues. I felt for the girl, but at the same time her own treatment of certain characters in this book was a little much. Sam’s been handed a rough hand, but she’s kind of a rude B as well so…… Anyway, moving on. I liked Mason as a hero, but I wish he was sweeter. I’m known for liking a rather alpha bossy type sometimes a hero gets too sweet for me. When I’m scheduling visits to the dentist to check for cavities I know our hero has gone too far to the left for me. Yet, the whole time I was reading I felt like Mason was closed off. We never really get to know him as a character. He’s there for Sam and that’s great, but who is Mason? Everyone is so swoon worthy over Mason (other readers) but I just didn’t see it, sorry. Mason is nice, but he doesn’t bring a ton of woo factor. He’s not a dirty talker he’s kind of just there to give Sam her 10-15 orgasms a day. The couple themselves is relatively problem free and I really appreciated and enjoyed that aspect. I just wish we could have had more depth to our hero and their relationship so I could have fallen in love with him more. I said it in my first review but I have to say it again here just in case. I do not classify these books as young adult regardless of our main characters ages. There is so much sex, I swear, bunnies have nothing on them. But I still read this book in less than a day. I could not put it down. I just don’t know why. Maybe because it was so crazy and fast paced? I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen between them because things just keep being thrown at them. It’s like at high school train wreck and I found I couldn’t look away. I was the gawk-er driving by in slow motion while staring at the wreckage. Something about this series just caught me up in it. As soon as I finished Fallen Crest Family I went on to Fallen Crest Public. The series might have become an obsession at this point.

Even though Sam was a coward through most of the book it was still a great read. She really needs a backbone! But Raz was a wonderful addition, you just gotta love him. And Heather, she's the best.

I fell in love with this series when I read the first book, Fallen Crest High.  I'm even more in love with it now after reading this second book.  What a rollercoaster ride this book will take you on.  You have lots of the same characters, but get to meet some new ones that just enhance this story.  I couldn't put this book down, I mean with all the craziness and drama, I had to know what was happening next.  I can't wait to read the next installment of this series!  If you enjoyed the first book, you'll love this one!  A definite must read.

One might expect the drama to die down after FCH, but now that Mason and Sam are together, it just builds further! The exciting sequel to FCH is not to be missed!
