About the Author

I live on a small and mostly defunct farm in western New York, where the events of a typical day include writing and walking my dogs—items not necessarily listed in order of priority. (At least not from the dogs' point of view.)

An excellent story, at once subtle and compelling. Highly, highly recommended. (I don't know why certain people insist on reviewing books when it is quite obvious they have no love of literature--not to mention, barely a working grasp of the language.)

I don't know what the one-star reviewer is going on about. I thought this was an incredibly good read.

Previous review VERY appropriate.. Why do YOU THINK IT ENDED as it did???

A poetic, thoughtful short story which focuses less on the details of the murder depicted, and more on the inner life of the detective in charge of the case. Beautifully rendered, with a sympathetic, humane portrayal of the detective, and a quiet, slightly eerie atmosphere which suits the material.

Well written

This short story made no sense. A bunch of words thrown together. It was exactly 29 pages too long. Don' t waste your time reading this 29 page short story.

I did not care for this short story at all.

Hard to stay focused trying to read this short story. Mouthfuls of words makes you just want to scan past most of it. Also really not much of a story. Or maybe i missed it scanning past most of it.

Incredibly shirt and made no sense. I think the author wore out a thesaurus trying to find big words to make this junk sound interesting. Dont bother with this. It was a total waste of time.
