Falling Fast by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Colton Allyster is relieved to be back home. After six months of rehabilitation, losing his career as a Marine along with his fiancé, he's had to learn quickly what's really important. Colton grew up wanting to serve his country. Managing his parents' biker bar was never part of his plan, but after meeting Gia Caro, he's beginning to think that's exactly where he's meant to be.

Ever since Gia Caro arrived in the small, sleepy town of Ruby Falls, Tennessee, her life has spiraled out of control. Between losing her grandmother a little more each day to dementia, and her hot boss's constant attention, her once quiet existence isn't so quiet anymore.

After weeks of sidestepping Colton, things get out of hand, and before Gia knows what's happening, she's spending her nights in his bed and her mornings in his kitchen. And as he cleans out drawers and makes room in his closet, she starts to wonder if she's falling too fast.

4.5 Stars for Aurora Rose Reynolds Once again another great read from this extremely talented author, and once again she shows she is not afraid to touch on subjects others would shy away from. I adored this book, I was drawn in from the first chapter and I had to read it in one sitting I needed to know the outcome of this love story. Colton a ex marine who hasn’t had it easy as far as relationships go, family and loyalty are the most important thing to him and Gia a woman who believed she had no family left, will Colton be her rock and support her through some real tough times. This is a beautifully written love story with some great characters, it’s not only sweet it’s hot and steamy and I really hope the author gives us a story about the secondary characters.

I always wanted to know Gia and Colton's story since 'Until June' so it was great to have some closure. I can't wait to Tide's story. We only got a smile piece of him but I loved him all the same! Also, to hear some updates on Gia and Colton life through Tide's eyes would be awesome to read too!

3.5+ “Magical mermaid drinks” Stars In the mood for some fun, sweet and sexy romance? Falling Fast is the perfect ARR book. After years apart, Gia finally gets to see her grandmother again, only to find her seriously ill. Being the sweetheart that she is, she immediately moves to her late mother’s hometown to take care of her grandma. The magic of a small town lands her a job at a bar owned by Colton’s family and their attraction is instantaneous. Although Gia acknowledges the pull, she is in no place to start a relationship. Luckily for her, Colton is not going to give her much of an option. With suspicious things going on, the mother of crazy exes trying to come between them and a saddening prognosis for Gia’s grandma, they have a lot to overcome. Gia was incredibly sweet and caring, a firm avoider of conflict and funny. She loved her job teaching little kids, but after a not exactly difficult but emotionally challenging childhood, she had some issues to overcome. Colton was alpha, sexy and bossy. I would have loved for him to be a bit less considerate of Gia’s predicaments and gone full throttle in pursuit, but I feel like I can’t really complain about it. He was being thoughtful after all. I guess I missed the whole “I-moved-you-in-without-you-even-realizing-it-after-2-hours-of-knowing-each-other” OTT-ness I’m used to in Ms. Reynolds books. There was a well of possibilities to be explored in this book that could have made it an exceptional read for me, and in some cases, it felt like missed opportunities. For example, and I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, the whole Colton’s crazy-ex topic could have been expanded on. With the way it unraveled it felt kind of absurd, but done a little bit differently it could have been one epic crazy-ex antagonist. Even with some shortcomings, I completely engaged with the story and enjoyed reading Falling Fast. It has some action, suspense and a lovely set up for future stories which I can’t wait to get to read. As ever, ARR is an insta-buy for me, as I know I’ll be in for a fun, sweet and fluffy read that will have me smiling like a dork. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

3.5 stars Falling Fast is a classic small town, slow burn romance. Colton is a warrior, he survived a painful and traumatic experience, endured a tough year of rehabilitation but he’s back on his feet. Literally. He fought hard to get his life back and he learned to appreciate things in a way he didn’t before, he’s a great guy but he’s still dealing with some emotional scars. Also, he’s sexy as hell! Gia is a sweet, independent and kind woman. She drops everything in her life, including a job she loves and her best friend, to move back to her mother’s small hometown in order to take care of her grandmother. She’s a sweetheart with a huge heart, she feels an instant attraction when she meets Colton and their first meeting is kind of hilarious. Gia is a little too naive sometimes but I actually loved how patient Colton was with her and how he asked her to let him in. I did struggle a little with the crazy ex angle (yes, Colton’s ex), it was a bit over dramatic, however I don’t want to give much away. Overall, Falling Fast is a sweet, heart warming, slow burn romance, with great secondary characters, perfect for a rainy Sunday on the couch. I’m curious about Tide’s story… I’m hoping that he’ll fall for Nat even though there was no hint in that direction (I think I didn’t miss anything!) but they would be totally awesome together and I would definitely read their story! I received a copy of this book from TRSoR Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Gia Caro always thought that her grandmother died ten years ago. So when she receives a call telling her that her grandmother is alive, bus she's sick and needs her, Gia drops everything and moves from Chicago to Ruby Falls, Tennessee. Reuniting with her grandmother is a surprise, but Gia never dreamed of meeting someone like Colton Allyster. Colton Allyster has been through hell and back and now just wants to move on with his life. His world is turned upside down when he meets the sweet Gia. Will Gia give in and accept her feelings for Colton? Or is she falling too fast for him? Falling Fast is a sweet and sexy story, with a dash of drama and mystery. It took me in an awesome ride and I loved every second of it. Gia and Colton's story hooked me from the first page and kept me wanting more. Gia Caro is a sweet and caring young woman, with a stubborn and fiery streak. She loves her best friend, her job, and children. But she leaves everything behind so she can be with her grandmother. Although it feels right being with Colton, Gia is afraid she's falling too fast for him. Colton Allyster is an ex-marine and now works at his mother's bar. He's been through a lot: he was shot while serving his country and went through a long rehabilitation; and his fiancée left him when he needed her the most. But now that he met Gia, Colton knows she's the one for him and loves having her in his space and in his life. He's an alpha, knows who he wants and will fight for Gia. Once again, Aurora Rose Reynolds gives us a beautiful story with amazing characters. Falling Fast is perfectly written, making the reader swoon, laugh and cry with all the emotions Aurora can make us feels. I can't wait to read more about the people of Ruby Falls!

I fell hard and FAST for this book! Sweet, romantic, and completely smoking HOT, Falling Fast is classic ARR at her best! This book captures everything, and more, we love about Aurora's writing. A sexy and total-alpha male, a gorgeous and wholesome female, and a unique story line that seeps into your heart with love and emotions. Falling Fast expresses that family means everything. It proves that people will go above and beyond anything for those they love. The difficult and heartbreaking circumstances the characters endure balances the passionate and erotic aspects of the story line. I could not get enough of this book! Lust and heat blend perfectly with raw and authentic desire, causing a fiery explosion of cravings and hunger throughout the story. If you've read Aurora's books, then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. From the comedic dialogue, to the utter devastation of loss and pain, Falling Fast is a beautifully penned novel, and one of the best books I've read in 2017! Definite 5-star must read!
