4.5 stars Somehow, this is my first Amy Vastine book and the first one that I have read out of this Grace Note Records series. I think I am going to have to fix that now and check out more from this series and from this author! So I will say that although this is the fourth book in the series, I truly believe it works as a standalone book, because I was good to go through the whole thing. I liked Kelly from the get-go. She's one of those girls I would totally be friends with. She gets along well with everyone and seems to have a lot of fun in her life, especially thanks to her job as a DJ at the radio station. She has a heart of gold and it's no wonder people easily fall for her. Just stalkers always suck and this guy takes it to some weird levels. I also liked Donovan from the beginning. He starts out trying to be a cranky borderline alpha male, especially now that he is on desk duty before being assigned to Kelly, but you can quickly see how he has many layers and also has a heart of gold. Any man who steps in to take care of his niece and nephew after they are orphaned is bound to turn out to be an amazing person. The more we learned about him, the more I found myself even starting to crush on him a little bit. Their chemistry leaps off of the pages and warms your heart as they get to know each other and dance around their feelings for each other. The mystery of the stalker keeps things a little more exciting, without being overly dramatic. And I'm madly in love with Avery and Graham and want to adopt them myself. I loved this story. It was a hard one to put down to get a little bit of sleep. So don't start reading it right before bed. It's a great addition to the Harlequin Heartwarming Series. And like I said, I'm going to have to find more from this author and the Grace Note Records series now. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What a fun read this one was. I really enjoyed the give and take between the two leads, Kelly and Donovan. This being a stalker story the tension was always in the background giving a more forceful push for their relationship. Donovan is a detective, a good but a hotheaded one, who has been given the job of keeping the chief's niece safe from a stalker. He is also raising his niece and nephew and between work and home, does not always have everything balanced. He struggled being a single dad and a cop and that made the story even more heartwarming. Kelly is a radio personality who is trying to make her mark in that field. What starts out as a cutesy crush from some fan turns into a nightmare when that person takes things a bit darker and into the criminal area. Kelly is understandably creeped out and even though she does not want to have to rely on her uncle and Donavan, she is thankful for the protection. This was a good read of developing relationships, romantic and friendship. I liked the way Kelly bonded with the kids along with how her feelings changed for Donovan. Donovan really did not want to give his heart away and he fought the obvious for a long time. This was one story that was hard to put down for real life. I received copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Falling for the bodyguard I always loved books with kids in it. Kelly has a stalker, her uncle who works at the police department gets her a bodyguard. Donovan has a niece and nephew he is caring for. Kelly works for a radio station. They have lots of events. I loved reading about the different events they had. Loved the family environment with Donovan. I received a complimentary copy of from Prism book tours. This review is my own opinion.

Falling for Her Bodyguard is book four in Amy Vastine's Grace Note Records series and revolves around a radio host and a detective who are thrown together out of necessity when she finds herself with some attention from a fan that she doesn't much want. Donovan was particularly fun to get to know because he is sort of a loner who is thrust into caring for his sister's kids ... one delightful little angel and one surly teenager. He thinks he's doing a terrible job and hasn't a clue how to improve until Kelly begins to guide him. Kelly is a free spirit. She loves her job, she loves life in general, and she's very outgoing. She's not used to having to watch her back, and she doesn't like the vulnerability that it brings to the surface. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet romance with a strong family foundation, lots of emotion and a hint of intrigue. The characters were very well developed, the story line was endearing and the overall outcome very satisfying. Really enjoyed watching this happily ever after evolve!

I have not had the pleasure of reading an Amy Vastine book until I read her Falling for Her Bodyguard. I thought this fourth installment from her Grace Note Record series to be a good read. Falling for Her Bodyguard tells the story of Kelly being stalked. Donovan is hired to be her bodyguard. The two spend a lot time together and she meets his niece and nephew, whom he is raising. They soon find themselves in some danger. The suspense made me want to find out what is going to happen next. I love Falling for Her Bodyguard. I am giving it four and a half stars. I highly recommend this fun, clean, heartwarming and sweet book. I would be interested in reading more books by Amy Vastine in the future. I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

In this character-driven, (clean) romantic suspense, Kelly Bonner, a radio personality, is being stalked by a fan. In a family of cops, this does not go unaddressed, and Kelly is soon assigned a bodyguard from her uncle's off-duty officers. Donovan Walsh seems really tough due to his size and his military past, but he's really just keeping it all together while raising his sister's children. As Donovan starts staying with Kelly to help keep her safe, they get to know each other better- and, more significantly, Kelly gets to know Graham and Avery, Donovan's teenage nephew and elementary-aged niece. As their relationships grow, Donovan isn't sure how he can extricate her from the family dynamic- and if he even wants to. Both Kelly and Donovan were easy to like, and I loved the idea of them together. Most of the book is building their emotional relationship, mainly as friends which grows into something more (which develops just beautifully). The kids added a really nice touch to show more about both characters and also to add some extra cute fun to the story. As a Heartwarming book, it's very clean with only a few kisses, but I loved watching the romance develop between them in a slow and organic way. With the added mystery/suspense due to the stalker, this book was completely engrossing- I was hooked from start to finish! FALLING FOR HER BODYGUARD is a fantastic character-driven romantic suspense that I would highly recommend for anyone looking for something deeper yet still fun. I absolutely loved this read from the beginning that hooks you all the way to the satisfying conclusion. Please note that I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.
