After 4 books in the series you would think the story about the McCarthys would run it's course but with Marie Force as the author you are sorely mistaken. This series just keeps getting better and better. You will fall in love with every single charater . Once you start make sure you have enough time to read the whole book you will not be able to put it down. Can not wait for the 5th book to come out This spring.

I really like this author but this book had way to much going on...there were three different stories going on at the same time. Took to much focus away from the main couple...iwould like to read more of Owen and Lauras story though

I am a huge fan of Marie Force, which is why it pains me to admit...I really didn't like this book. There was a LOT going on in this book. To me, it didn't seem like there was one focused couple. Not only did Grant and Stephanie get a storyline, but in come Mac and Maddie....then Francine and Ned had quite a story to tell as well. There was a little triangle with David, Joe and Janey...I admit it didn't last long, but I felt it was unnecessary. The ending really annoyed me, it was so...abrupt. I admit, I did like getting to visit with Mac, Maddie, Joe and Janey...but it just seemed to much to cram it all in one book. My favorite part of the book, was the birth of the baby. There was so much emotion packed in that delivery room it was very well written. I am the first to say, I understand not everyone likes every book, this just happens to be one I didn't care for.

I am still loving Gansett Island Series!  I especially love that we get to keep up with all the characters that too me is the best. Grant McCarthy has returned home after a tragic accident happened injuring Luke, Mac, & Big Mac! While home he also find out his ex fiance Abby has moved on with her life & is now engaged to another man name Cal Maitland!  Whom by the way happens to be the new doctor in town!  While still wanting her back & realizing he messed up he meets a girl named Stephanie & who knew the romance that would unfold between those two! Its juicy & romantic so you might wanna read the book to find out all the sweet, loving & exotic details! Also do not forget that with each book you learn even more on the previous characters & what is now going on in their lives :)

I have fallen in love w/Marie Force's McCarthys of Gansett series and this fourth one is right up there w/the others. I loved it and read the book in one night! This family and friends that live on this island are so fascinating. Marie keeps me wanting more and more...you got to read the series and you will not be disappointed for sure.

Although I'm not much of a romance reader, this series is one that I will follow until the end! (Which is hopefully never.) The McCarthy men are the quintessential knights on white horses, and gorgeous to boot. Can't wait to read more about them!

This is the forth book in this series and I think they should be read in order to get the full story. This book focuses on Mac’s brother Grant and Stephanie a girl who works at their family’s marina restaurant. You read a little bit about Grant and Stephanie in the previous book. This book picks up the day after Janey and Joe’s wedding. The island is hit with a tropical storm and no one is going anywhere anytime soon. Grant wakes up and finds himself in bed with Stephanie; both of them are naked. Grant can’t remember much from the night before. Stephanie and Grant have a snarky back and forth kind of relationship prior to sleeping together. Grant is finally being to realize that he won’t be getting another shot with Abby and finds himself more and more attracted to Stephanie. Stephanie has a secret of her own and has been dealing with it for some time. While Grant and her relationship has just been physical once he hears her story something changes for him. Steph has only been allowing herself to think of it as just sex she feels the change as well. Now that Grant knows her story it brings out a protective side of him and he wants to do everything he can to help her. Will Grant to be able to convince Steph to allow him to help? You get to read about all the character once again in this book. I love that about this series. Once again there are some side relationships and stories in this book involving other characters. Once again I can’t say enough about this series or Marie Force. I can’t recommend this series enough. I already have the next book to read.

I loved this whole series. I loved how the characters continued to be part of the on going series. However, once we got a few books in, there were so many characters that it got a little difficult to keep up. I believe the author is letting some of the characters go without them being referenced which i appreciate after book 8 or 9. But this did feel like a series where some books reference the previous characters once and you didn't really need to read the previous books. Not sure if I'll keep up with the series since I'll forget who everyone is by the time the next book comes out.
