The writing was well done. It was descriptive, easy to read, and made you feel like you were there. The base of the story was pretty good too, however it had some inconsistencies which were annoying. The constant emotional changes of the main characters were a little dizzying. The basic reason for the chip on the main character's shoulder was extremely weak and was the main reason I had a hard time getting into the character's head and feeling what she was feeling. I also very much disliked the way the author downplayed the heroine's career success in comparison to the hero's. I mean, really, does he have to be that much better than her? Overall I enjoyed the book when I chose to look past all the problems.
