It was cool. That sex scene bothered me though. The finger and the other stuff, too much and didn’t seem realistic. Appropriating my people’s (lesbian) culture. The effect they had on each other was different and I felt it was kinda sexist a tad. Anyway the book passed the time.

Shelli Stevens story was about Katie who loved a small town life and Hunter who escaped to create a gaming empire in Seattle. Although she found him attractive, she couldn't see herself happy in the city. Hunter told her he was attracted to her but he had no intention of staying. Their story was entertaining and I would recoommend it to other mature, adult readers

This was a cute and simple read. The ending was a little rushed, but the overal character development and plot were good.

This is a good read, 160 pgs of romance ,humor and, some drama. The characters flow well together and there's some zing between them. This book is light a hearted romance with well written intimate scenes and there's great descriptive parts of the country sky. I'm looking forward to reading another of this authors books..... as long as the author keeps the story line longer than 160 pgs..... I'm hoping that this author doesn't short change readers by making a story line into a prequel........vw

The high school crush all grown up plot made me very happy.  Even though Hunter and Katie didn’t know each other very well then there was something between them and when they meet again as adults it develops into something a bit … well, more  :)  Hunter hasn’t been home in a long time – his childhood isn’t exactly something he wants to revisit.  He didn’t really fit into the small Montana community growing up and really couldn’t wait to get out.  But, given the chance, he finds it hard to pass up the chance to see Katie again.  He may be an adult but there is still a part of him that is still that boy.   Katie tried living away from home but it wasn’t for her and Marietta is where she belongs.  When an old face appears again, spending a week at her ranch, the attraction proves impossible to ignore.  She knows he’s leaving but she can't resist the geeky, sexy man who is a genius with computers and looks oh-so-good in boots & a hat.  Time spent with Katie at the Marshall ranch gives Hunter a chance to look at his past with adult eyes and decide what will really make him happy. (I haven’t read the first book in this series (surprise!) but I don’t know that it really mattered.  There may have been a bit more development of the sibling relationship and how they’ve dealt with their father’s death but I felt that Stevens does a good job of giving her readers a complete and satisfying stand-alone story.) *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

A fun sweet read for a perfect lazy afternoon. Katie, "the girl next door" runs a ranch when she books a bachelor party from Seattle. She soon finds out that "the bad boy from town", Hunter is part of this party. After Hunter left town a few years ago, he now become a successful software tycoon. Hunter, has always had a certain liking to Katie, and now is the time to act upon his feelings. Will Katie open her heart or still play it safe? Soon there will be fireworks in the sky and not just for Fourth of July. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of finding love and opening your heart. I loved how Hunter, gave Cal and other kids like him a second chance in Marietta. Coming home, cane be good.

Katie Marshall runs the Marshall Montana ranch which has become a noted destination for vacationers during the summer. Bachelor parties are another fast growing business and her latest one will give her cause to reflect. The man putting on the party for his friend is an old friend/crush of Katie: Hunter. She may have been all of fifteen when he left Marietta but the years in difference haven’t erased her memories of him nor of his for Katie. He’s now a wealthy software developer in Seattle and not the teenage boy Katie knew. Sparks are flying for Katie and Hunter and add in a creepy groom with entitlement issues and you have the makings for a great story.

Oh, that cover won me over, I saw it on NetGalley, and I just had to stop my regular schedule and take a detour at Marietta, Montana. And I am glad I did - the Seattle hipster computer geek comes home to Marietta and finally has a chance with the cowgirl he had dreamed about since high school - and it was definitely a swoon worthy seduction. I liked that the author didn't take the easy way out with all the road blogs on the way. There were some tough bumps that the hero and heroine had to deal with before they could find a peace in their hearts. Hunter Richardson never felt like he fit in Marietta as he was growing up. He was different and some made him feel it as well by bullying him. He had made his life into a huge success, found his place in the world, was comfortable in it, yet there was something missing. I adored how he had been pining after Katie Marshall since the drama class in high school. And I could understand it, Katie was a kind, sweet, considerate, loyal girl. She seemed to charmed everyone around her, and she was easy to like. There's drama in the story, with the small town gossip, the bachelor from hell, and the high school bully to be faced again. But Katie and Hunter also live very different kinds of lives, and to have a future together, one of them would have to make a sacrifice that could be asking too much in a long run. This story has romance, it has passion, it has friends and family drama. It made me smile and swoon with the Montana kind of romantic moments, yet the trouble Katie and Hunter face was real and it felt true. I really enjoyed the story, it was entertaining and enticing, charming and sweet. ~ Four Spoons!
