This Behind-the-Scenes Tell-All About Doubling for Celebrity Superstars Also Reveals the Compelling Life Story of an Insecure Hollywood Arrival Who Rises to the Top of Her Field, But Pays a Hefty Price.

Addiction, Chauvanism and Big Egos collide with the surprising kindness of superstars. Discover the magic and the tragic stories of many great films & TV shows through the eyes of a stuntwoman.

Dalton reveals what it took to hang over cliffs, get hit by a moving car, drop from five stories up, dodge an avenue full of speeding cars-and to ignore the Universe's more gentle prompts that it was time to quit and follow her passion into acting fulltime or teaching acting. The resulting career-ending spinal injury has a story of its own, how she researched medical and alternative paths that form the heart of what she shares with the world today.

"What stands out in this book is the indomitable spirit the author has, despite the extraordinary price she paid for her stellar career-including misogyny, a miscarriage, and a life-long back injury. And each juicy story she relays in her fascinating chronicle, brings home an important life lesson for the reader-one that she learned the hard way."
-J. Lapin

- Tom Bird, Best Selling Author of over 20 books including Write From God (2015)

"Falling For The Stars is like a "magic carpet ride". Lisa seems to find the excitement, the mystery, the challenge and the art so fulfilling that there is almost an atmosphere of addiction in the daring and conquering of the unknown.... I find a woman to whom it is essential to find the core of her being. This search comes out in the amazing pictures of her doubling other actors. How far does she go when doubling? Feeling? Mannerisms? Thoughts?"
- Patricia Wachter, ED.D., MFT

About the Author

From a dyslexic, messy, freckle-faced, klutzy pixie, Lisa Loving Dalton grew into a statuesque and skillful stuntwoman, actor, ceremonial minister, clown and John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer, Coach. She is an award winning Director/Producer of fiction and documentary films and Certifying Master Teacher for the National Michael Chekhov Association.

In 1989, Lisa suffered a severe spinal injury that altered her path. What Lisa learned in order to rise above the crippling injury forms the heart of what she shares as a leader in self-development. www.lisadalton.com

What can be said that isn't covered by "She has middle-child syndrome!
"

She fell on her face enough times to make a handsome career out of pretending it didn't hurt. Clearly mathetamic$ wasn't in her future so she focused on mastering anything physically challenging like dance, singing, basketball, softball, tennis and was pretty inept at most. Perseverance however was high on her Girl Scout list so a never-say-can't attitude held Lisa in good stead throughout her life plus earned lots of trophies! Skills in stage combat, circus arts and acrobatics kicked off a fourteen-year acting, stunt and comedy career in New York from 1976-90.

In 1980, she married Ken Kerman on a biker rally. That same year, a life-changing discovery of Michael Chekhov's Acting Technique eventually inspired Lisa to seek an on-camera career in Los Angeles as well, from 1988-2006. Her injury 12/7/89 shifted her world-no more jumping off buildings - even if she wanted.
She co-founded the National Michael Chekhov Association and directed/produced fiction and documentary films from Hollywood to Russia, Europe, Caribbean and the US. Lisa coached Ken into an actor's life, he coached her into lots of Celebrity Golf Tournaments across the country. Thank you, Tinsel Town!!!

She cashed in her Burbank home for the culturally active Fort Worth TX, where she can golf and motorcycle most of the year and fly anywhere easily.

With great blessings, January 2014 brought her a new fused spine, so now she is able to sit long enough to be a storyteller via the written word.

"From my earliest years, I expected a life in the entertainment industry, there was no other option in my heart and I have been blessed by it. If I can tell a good story, and you smile, groan, discover or reminisce, it's my way to help folks be happier human beings."
