I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way. Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.
Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.

Nell Hawthorne is in love with her life-long best friend, Kyle Calloway. Things are great, and they're in love, young, full of promise. Then Kyle dies in a tragic accident and Nell is forever changed. She meets Kyle's older brother Colton at the funeral, and there's a spark, but it's wrong and they both know it. The moment passes, and they both move on with life. A couple years later, they meet again in New York City, and colton realizes that Nell has never really gotten over Kyle's death, and seems to be harboring a deeply rooted pain, something like guilt, perhaps. He knows he shouldn't get involved, but he can't help himself. Trust doesn't come easily for either of them, and they both have demons, Colton especially. Together, they learn the purpose of pain and the meaning of healing, and the importance of forgiveness.

This New Adult romance novel contains graphic scenes and is intended for mature audiences. HEA ending.

The words I want or need to say about this book, are lost on my finger tips. No single book has moved like this one. I lost my daughter to suicide on8/4/2010 and this story reminded me how much she endured, but didn't have the stronge male like Colton to help her through. Thank you to the autho who showed we don't have to be ol after going through grief but we do have to keep living!

When sent Falling Into You from accomplished author Jasinda Wilder, she said that this hadn't been proof read, so I began reading with ‘proof reading eyes’. However, this writing was incredible - the passion, the depth, the intensity! Wow! And not only did she ‘make’ me love gentle Kyle, I was completely and utterly enraptured by broken yet magnificent Colton. (and not just by his AMAZING skills in the bedroom!!!!!!!!!) Deeply scarred yet sweet Nell experienced an overwhelmingly heart-breaking event, leaving her lifeless, closed off and without purpose. Her heart had died. She barely survived in her ‘armor of numbness’. As you listened to her story, once vivacious, she became a shell of who she’d been. Pain became her only tool of survival. Until she met Colton. Despite not meeting this brilliant, misunderstood man until Chapter 5, with such avid description, you are instantly attracted to him – not only physically, but you feel as though you know him. “stunning….chiseled and achingly beautiful…Older, harder…less statuesque…shaggy black hair, messy and thick and lustrous….” His initial silence spoke volumes to Nell, but thanks to his artistic prowess, he eventually spoke words of comfort, love and acceptance in song.  The haunting love story flowed and was paced beautifully. At times, it felt as though you didn’t need the detail, but then as the book progressed, you knew that particular inclusions were integral not superfluous. Changing POV was also a helpful tool in providing deeper understanding of the characters. The character development was solid and believable, with Ms Wilder remaining faithful to the linguistic idiom of the generation.  Despite the storyline essentially focused around grief and immense sadness, it was equally filled with hope and redemption. Identifying that contentment and healing doesn’t result from being in the arms of love but from inner acceptance and forgiveness, was a stunning conclusion. Falling Into You was passionate, sensual, sad and successfully wrenched emotions from me throughout. (Yes, you will need tissues!) I loved it. An incredibly well written journey of healing.  Ignore the minor editing blips, they weren’t a distraction to me. If this is an example of Jasinda Wilder’s talented writing, I will definitely be back for more!

I read an insane amount and I never write reviews.  I felt compelled to acknowledge this book and the author.  I have rarely had this type of emotional response to a book .  It wasn't just an emotional response, but physical.  I cried, sobbed is more like it, to the point that i had to tell my husband about what I was reading.  At first, I told him he'd have to wait.  I was literally unable to speak at that point.  When I finally composed myself enough to explain it to him, I cried again just reliving what I read.  That is how good she writes.  I will always remember a particular part of this book.  I was so profound and I was engulfed in what Nell was feeling.  I found myself  thinking about this book constantly.   My only negative is that I wanted more.  I'm not a huge fan of series, but I really want a sequel of Nell and Colton!

Really good book. Made me cry, laugh, cringe, the only downside to the book is they use "gd" way to much.

This is not what I thought it would be. The story started out so promising, a tale love and loss. Then instead of going on about grief and healing, it turned into some bizarre sex story. Girl falls in love, girl loses love, girl blames self and then is magically cured by freaky sex with her almost brother in law. Not sure what the other readers were raving about.

Falling Into You is a tale of two books. The tale of love born and lost too soon is beautiful and heartbreaking. I loved the emotions that Nell went through as she dealt with the death of her first love. The enter his older brother Colton...Here is where this book just starts to spin out of control. Without giving spoilers I will say, the author had great ideas; however, there were simply too many of them. The death of a loved one and feeling guilt over the circumstances of that loss are enough to deal with in novel, but think of something that could go wrong or be a problem, and it is covered in this book. The male lead, Colton, made no sense. He was EVERYTHING and NOTHING at same time. In short, I would give Part One a five star review and two years after Kyle's death, a one star review.

I was really excited to read this book because of all the good reviews but i have to say for the most part it has been a big disapointment! I liked the beginning and how there realationship developed but after the horrible accident the book took on a different turn and has gone downhill from there. One review said its like the edge of never, which i loved that book, this book is not like that at all!! The brother and the life he has lived seems so unrealistic, and the life she is living years after the accident is sad but also unrealistic how she and the brother see eachother after two years and it seems like they were long lost lovers when they only had a brief contact years prior. It was just a letdown!:(

This is one of those books that when you are done you are practically speechless. The emotion and the connection you feel with this book and with the characters is truly phenomenal. This story is one one tragedy and heartbreak. Just when you feel like you can't take anymore and you can't go on another day. Someone stumbles into your life and makes you feel like you aren't alone. Like you can go on another day and learn to deal. It doesn't make everything okay but it makes it better. Knowing you can share your pain and feel like you can breath again. You will not be disappointed when you read this book. This is the type of book that consumes you. Let yourself Fall into this story.

Terrible!!! I did not even finish this book because it went on and on and on and had terribly explicit sexuall scenes. I even removed it from my nook library. Toooo much!! I would rate it below one star.

Yes this book made me openly sob, but its a good thing. It shows you how well the author allows you to connect with the characters. I recommend reading this book, because you won't be disappointed.

You know, when I thought this book would be one of many, I was all, "This book is awesome!" I even rated it a 5. But now that I've read the author's FB page, I'm all like," Boo! Hiss!" This book seems to be so well written, right up til the end. Then it just falls flat. There's a very weak resolution at the end. Anyone finding out there's not another book is gonna feel like, "What? No happily-ever-after sequel? This is crap! " So as a single book, I'm going to ammend my stars to a weak 4. This book is so emotional and the author totally draws you in, only to leave you hanging. What a tease! These two characters deserve a great ending, not a lukewarm one.

I heard about this book online and decided to buy it. It has good reviews and that was a plus. I cant even get half way into this book. Its like i have to make myself read it. Im just not hat into it. I hate it when your friends leave reviews for you because rather they like your book or not they will rate it 5 stars. I want honest reviews. This book did not keep me interested.

I enjoyed this story on a whole. The writing at first was bouncy, as it came from a teenage girls perspective. Then it became frantic, as the story continued. I believe the writer intended for it to read in such a manner. At times, it seemed a bit much. But I enjoyed it enough that I will read it again someday, would recommend it to a friend & will look for more from the author.

An emotional read. I couldn't put the book down.  I went out to dinner with boyfriend and was reading the book on my "Nook app" , literally couldn't put it down. I love when books invoke emotions deep within me. This is differently one of those books. I can't wait to read the second. Steamy love scenes, very well written. Some authors try to write screens but fall short. Jasinda Wilder, knocked it out of the park. Whooww, I had to take a breather.

This book was wonderful. Great character development. Colton was terribly sexy and the way he is protective of her is even more sexy.

Total waste of my time. Plot way too predictable. Characters way too superficial. Don't bother

First, this book is 529 pages...of wonderful! Yep, I was absolutley crying in the beginning, but then it turned into happiness and hot, hot, hot!!! Loved allll of the characters. The only thing that I didn't get (but I didn't let it bother me for too long) is how it was possible that she didn't meet Colton until the funeral when sge lived next door to him for 17 years?? But whatever it wad still a fantastic book!
