I loved Family Secrets and I thought that this book had a very intriguing storyline.  While I'll admit that I have not read a whole lot of vampire books... this one would be very high on the list of my favorite vampire books that I have read.  I found it to be a fun, mysterious, and interesting book that had me wanting to continue turning the page to find out what would happen.  With most books early on the reader has an idea of how the book will end, as far as who falls in love and ends up together.  Family Secrets was not like that.  I had no clue what would end up happening.  In fact, it wasn't until the very end that I knew.  Also, the title is 100% perfect.  There are so many secrets and then when you think you know everything and you know the whole truth... BAM! you learn another secret.  It's so rare that a book can surprise me as much as Family Secrets did.  I loved that! This book was absolutely perfect for this time of the year with vampires and ghosts!  There were several times that I actually had cold chills because of what I was reading.  If you're a fan of vampire books then I would highly recommend you try Family Secrets!  I also want to mention that I absolutely love that Melissa Zaroski has two versions of Family Secrets.  There is an adult version and a young adult version.  While I only read the adult version, I still think it's wonderful that she has given her readers the option to choose a clean version of her book or a more adult version.  By doing so she has made it possible for a wider audience to enjoy her book.
