Overview

Famous Monsters

Sporting the same lineup as on American Psycho (read: two members from the band's prime, but no Glenn Danzig), the reunited Misfits continue their resurrection from the grave with Famous Monsters, titled after a '70s horror magazine. To their credit, the band tries to maintain a certain amount of variety in coloring its sonic palette, throwing in a little doo wop and rockabilly, and they sound tighter than in the past.

This is a great cd!! I think it's their best to date... With Michale's strong vocals and their horror lyrics.. It's sure to be amazing!

This album is one of the finest follow ups a band has ever offered! Famous Monsters took us 2 years to get, but only 40 minutes to fall in love with. Using the same line up as American Psycho, The Misfits really pull out all the stops for this one. Stand out songs are "Saturday Night," "Forbidden Zone," "Pumpkinhead," "Helena," and "Die Monster Die." This album proves that the Misfits are at the top of their game and cannot be touched. Graves has proven himself and comes off very comfortable in his position. Doyle and Jerry Only crank out some of the best riffs yet, all glued together by the break-neck drums of Dr. Chud.

I love this album! It is definitly worthy of their old music which rocked. Michale Graves great vocals, combined with the powerful style of Doyle and Jerry make this album one you want to listen to if you liked their old music.

This is the best Misfits CD so far. I am a big Misfits fan (since the beginning of this year) and don't really like the ''old'' Misfits. But this album is a big exception! They kept their ''old'' sound, but it's more 2000 sounding. I really recommend this album to any punk rock fan.
