Fang Chronicles: Emily's Story by D'Elen McClain, Suzie Ivy

After a werewolf savagely rapes Carolynn, she hides her tormented secret below the basement stairs for nineteen years.

Emily's entire universe was the caged room in the cellar. She knew little kindness and received only enough food to stay alive. She understood nothing of the world above stairs. She would have died in the room of her childhood, but her world changed the day she could take no more. Her life began the day she killed her mother.

Brandt the alpha of the Northern Pack has loved the same woman for hundreds of years. Each day his heart breaks slowly because she does not return his love. Having no will to live, he invites death through challenges for alpha.

Brandt's life changes when he hunts a feral werewolf for killing a human. Delivering death to the beautiful white she-wolf is his job but one bite of her sweet blood alters his heart and now he must tame the woman who has never known love.

Warning: Blood, death, violence, vampires, hot werewolves and hot sex! The perfect paranormal romance.

About the Author

I'm a paranormal junkie! Give me vampires, werewolves and don't forget the romance. I've been reading vampire stories for thirty years and yes, that was way before they were popular. Robert McCammon and The Wolf's Hour got me hooked on werewolves as well. Now angels, demons, and even zombies (thought I would never go there) fill my bookshelves.

My world of fangs includes vampire and werewolves but you never know what lurks around the corner. Book I of the Fang Chronicles is "Amy's Story." Book II is “Emily’s Story” and I’m hard at work on book III.

I’m a wife, mother, grandmother and a police detective specializing in sex crimes and homicide. I write about my true-life adventures of becoming an officer in my 40's under the name Suzie Ivy.

I live in Arizona with my husband, two spoiled dogs, and a horse named Biz. My granddaughter dubbed me the Princess Cop though my tiara remains slightly crooked.

I read book 1 and had to buy the next book. This one was great too and I'm looking forward to the third. I like the author's world building and all the twists and turns. I didn't expect the ending but loved where she took the story. I found a few editing errors but I've been finding them in large pub books too. Overall I am a fan.

I really loved this book. The heroine did not have a chance for a life, until she took matters into her own hands. The hero was giving up on life, until he found Emily to be his mate. Great book, with a teaser at the end. I can't wait for more of The Fang Chronicles :)

Emily's story is just so bittersweet! I loved her broken soul from conception. This series has really enraptured me. I love the intensity of the mate bond that is portrayed and I will be waiting impatiently for the next installment.

This was an enjoyable read. I only had problems with the inconsistencies that came from reading the first book and then this one. Possible spoiler, but this was a problem: It seems the author got Nicholas and Brandt confused, as the events in Amy's story did not match up with Emily's regarding these two characters. That was really annoying to me. Plus, what happened to Nicholas' "sight" in this book. Granted, it would have effected the events toward the end and even his story, but, what happened? Did his "sight" go blind? Other than that, I did thoroughly enjoy reading the book.

I just finished book 1 in this series and so far I have not been disappointed I was in the market for another author who could stand beside my two favorite authors Christina Feehan and RE Butler and I do believe I have found her she has the potiential to be one of the greatest authors her writing is smooth and the stories keep you guessing and into the book not only do they make you laugh and cry at times but they just flow with what is going on and there was a time or two I got angry and the men but hey other then that a great read getting ready to start book three Zenya's story.
