Overview

Mandy's Story is a standalone, humorous and little bit kinky side story to the Fang Chronicles series.

Every beastkind knows you don't mess with a Kodiak bear--everyone that is except Mandy, the wolf-pack Alpha's sister. When Mandy hears whispers that the bad attitude bear, Honey, has chosen a mate, she takes matters into her own hands because her wolf decided months before that Honey was hers. If drugging, kidnapping, and making him live in a feral cage won't work she's planning to give Honey a little bad attitude of her own.

The bear clan is ferocious, deadly, and their fighting skills coveted by other beastkind. With war on the horizon, Honey has little time for games or courting much less more than a few grunts of acknowledgement to a young she-wolf who seems to be everywhere he looks. When he wakes up in a feral cage at the hands of that same exasperating she-wolf... all bets are off.

If anyone thought bears and wolves don't mix, they've never seen Mandy on a mission. She refuses to give into the sexy he-bear when he tries to seduce her out of her tight little assets and himself out of the cage she's locked him in. Two can play that game and in the end Honey will learn, they both need to win, or else.

Meet the Author

I'm a paranormal junkie! Give me vampires, werewolves and don't forget the romance. I've been reading vampire stories for thirty years and yes, that was way before they were popular. Robert McCammon and The Wolf's Hour got me hooked on werewolves as well. Now angels, demons and even zombies (thought I would never go there) fill my bookshelves.

In real life I'm a police officer although that probably sounds scary to you now. I write about my adventures of becoming an officer in my 40's under the name Suzie Ivy.

I was gifted an ARC copy of this book for an honest review by the author. I love my paranormal romance and this was no let down. I loved Mandy and Honey. Although they aren’t Alpha’s there was a lot of Alpha battles between the two of them that were down right funny. Especially with Mandy’s little presents. Although this is book 4 in the series and stated as being a standalone book I was still concerned that I would feel I was missing something in the storyline, as I haven’t read the other 3 books. However, that was not the case and this read like any other standalone book. Although I am now intrigued by the series and will have to read the other 3. Mandy is a kick-ass girl who backs down from nothing and takes what she wants (but not in a bad way) well unless what you call what she did to Honey bad, errrm yeah alright, it was in a bad way haha. In her defence however, nope no defence. She is a modern girl and unapologetic about it, what can she say. Honey is a typical dominant male with the whole me Tarzan, you Jane (pun intended) thing going on. Honey has been raised as a caveman and expects the little woman to stay at home and wait on him. You can imagine the sparks, with Mandy being as fiery as she is. NO don’t imagine, buy and read about the sparks! The storyline was well thought out and although the book did come to a conclusion (no cliff-hanger) you are left eagerly waiting the next book in the series. The character development was well handled and if I’m honest I want to be Mandy! Screw loose an all. The scenes were set well and merged from one to the other effortlessly. The writing style of the story flowed so that you are completely submerged into it. Looking forward to reading the first 3 books and the 4th one when its out!

Honey was just too mean & hateful to Mandy during the kidnapping for him to do a 180 after with the I knew we were mates from the beginning. If he knew why was he going to mate with a bear? That was never discussed.

I had a great time reading this story. It distracted me from my problems and had me laughing out loud. I hit the end of the story without realizing i had read over 300 pages. I recomend it to anyone who wants a fun heart warming story with spicy lovers

I have read all of the Fang Chronicles, and I think Mandy's story just may be my favorite. This probably has something to do with the fact that I have a major book boyfriend crush on Honey. Seriously, I couldn't put this book down. I basically pulled an all nighter to finish it! You CAN read the book as a stand alone, but I suggest reading the whole series. It's great. The first book is Fang Chronicles: Amy's Story

The one thing that makes a paranormal romance stand out among all the others is great characters. This book had some AWESOME ones.  Mandy was great. Although she is young she mated to a Kodiak bear named Honey about a year previous. She got tired of waiting for him to notice her (in fact, he was pretty much downright ignoring her!) so she decided to kidnap him and force the situation. If that sounds hilarious, it is!  Mandy’s story is not the first in the Fang Chronicles, but it is the only one I have read so far.It read fine as a standalone book, but I am sure there are things I didn’t pick up on. I will definitely be reading all of the other books in the series!
