I have always liked Doc Weil, he has such a great "bedside manner" when talking about nutrition. Eschewing hype and fads, he uses a common sense (and taste-centric!) approach to healthy eating. I knew that I'd love this book when I saw that there is a recipe for dark chocolate date and nut truffles. Bought it instantly. This book will redefine your relationship with food. I could do without the kale, but everything else is wonderful. I highly recommend it. It's not diet, it is a lifestyle change. I'd also recommend that you buy a copy of another book called Simple, Healthy and Delicious, from the author of The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution. Found a recipe in it for Pound Cake French Toast. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
