Jess Kimball is one of my favorite characters. She is an investigative reporter who’s son Peter was kidnapped thirteen years ago at approximately the age of two. In each book of this series the author touches on this part of Jess’s life and her constant search for her son. Unfortunately none of the leads pan out. Peter’s kidnapping is featured more predominately in this book. After so many years and so many false leads will these new leads pan out any differently? This book is part of a great series, but can also be read as a stand alone novel. I highly recommend this book!

I might just be a Jess Kimball junkie! She is just one crazy, wild reporter and how she manages to stay alive is beyond me. I haven’t even finished this book…actually, still on the first day’s happenings, and it’s driving me crazy. I have work to do, but I do NOT want to take a break in my reading. I feel like this is the book I’ve been waiting for, the one where they find Jess’ missing son, Peter, now 15 (missing since he was 2). I have a feeling deep in my gut that we won’t find him, but it is going to be oh so close! Well, enough reviewing, and back to reading. Well, after much sobbing, and I mean grab a box of tissues sobbing, I’ve finished the book. I feel like I held my breath while reading this adventure. Best book ever!!!
