“Fate” by Sydney Lane 5 out of 5 stars Fate offers a glimpse into the events of “Choices”, as seen through Brody’s eyes. I loved getting all of the insight he brought to the table. I liked Brody in the first book but this one made me love him. Here, he becomes multi-layered and has a depth that was previously undiscovered. Even though that book is called “Fate”, he too has choices to make. Up until now Brody has been floating through life on the surface. Quincy brings the possibility of going deeper, having faith in someone, and opening his heart to real feelings and love. He has been hurt in the past and guards his heart from anything that might bring his walls crashing down. I loved seeing scenes from the previous book from his perspective. It was great getting a look at the motivations behind his actions. It explained a lot about why he did some of the things he did and what got him to that point. In books like this it’s always interesting seeing the girl from the outside looking in. Watching Quincy, through his eyes, we get to know a different side of her. We also get his impressions of her actions and it’s so easy to see how miscommunication and assumptions can create discord. Lane did a great job getting into Brody’s head and sharing him with us. I loved the extended epilogue that gives us a fuller picture of their future. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I absolutely recommend this book for young adult and adult readers! *I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.* Shannon, My Secret Book Spot

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. I gave this book 5 stars.  This is book 2 in the Choices series. Yes you can read this book as a stand alone. BUT the first book is in Quincy's POV and it gives you a lot of information that is not in this book. This book is in Brody's POV. And you also get tons of different scenes that you don't get in book one. So I would highly recommend that you read book one first.  OK so this is Brody's POV and boy is it! We get so much more of Brody in this book and how he is feeling and what is going through his mind. We get to see the things in this book that we did not see in the first book, where you got to see how Quincy was feeling and what she did when Brody was not around. In this one you get to see what Brody does when Quincy is not around.  I think this book showed Brody in a better light. And it showed how much he really wanted Quincy from the beginning. It not only showed you more of Brody, it was almost an entirely different book altogether, there were very few scenes that had the same dialogue as the first, and if it did it still had a different twist on it so you could see it from Brody's POV.  This book also has an ending done in Quincy's POV. and an Epilogue that was AMAZING! Just because you read book one don't think that you don't need to read this one. There are tons of surprises in here that were not in book one.  Thank you Sydney for this great story and I LOVED the way it ended. Perfection!

Loved Fate! Sydney did a great job showing us the real Brody. My heart breaks for Declan but honestly he was just to sweet for Quincy. Perfect ending and epilogue as well!

This book was a great follow up to Choices. It goes beyond the end of Choices and is the perfect ending. I felt as if I knew these characters, and I hate to see them go. Can't wait for Declan's story, and please tell me Seth gets a story!!! While Choices was about growing up and learning to make decisions (which often left me mad), Fate is about loving someone through their growth.

This was a great read! It's in Brody's pov but the story continues past the ending of the first book. So glad to have an ending to the story and can't wait to read Declan's story.
