About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Ednah Walters writes about flawed heroes and the women who love them. From her international bestselling Runes series (which focuses on Norse mythology and legends) to her Guardian Legacy series (which focuses on the Nephilim, children of the fallen angels). Whether she’s writing about Valkyries, Norns, and Grimnirs, or Guardians, demons, and Archangels, love, family, and friendship play crucial roles in all her books. When not writing YA and NA books, she writes contemporary romance under the pseudonym E. B. Walters.

Sad that there will be no more books from this amazing author. I’ve really enjoyed the runes series and the guardians series. Rip

I love everything about this book. From the names of the characters and the powers they have, to the skill shown by the author as she weaves a whole new series while maintaining the integrity of the original series upon which Fated is based. I lost myself in the story, only putting it down when I had to 'adult'. I need the next installment now!

A cute, romantic novella that takes place in Ednah Walters' magical Norse world, first introduced in the Runes series. Syn is a carry-over from that series, where we meet him as Echo's Grimnir partner, but this story actually gives us the details of this soul-reaper's past. His explanations to the fairly naive, new Immortal Lana mean that it's not necessary to have read the Runes books first; you can learn about the Norse world throughout this story, as Lana does while she struggles to understand how she fits in the norse universe and what the rules are, all while being temporary parent to her fellow adopted siblings with her parents gone missing. Quick, cute, and as magical as Walters' other tales, Fated is a fun sort of stand-alone (though I bet you get sucked in and want to read Runes if you haven't), and a nice transition for her upcoming Mystic Academy books.

Omg this is so good! Lana and syn are awesome! Lana who won't let anyone in except her family, adopted immortal brother and sister and the Landhorns who adopted her. Syn tries to pass her barrier but can he succeed? This is a novella the first in the Mystic Academy and it is aweso,e! I love how a Ednah incorporated some old friends and so,e new friends into this book, it is an amazing read one that you don't want to miss!

This is great addition to the Runes Universe. I loved this book. It was great to see Syn find the perfect person for himself. I hope there is more to come with the characters in this story.

Lana is an amazing character. She is the big sister of 3 siblings. He adoptive parents have left so she is left in charge of bills, groceries, and housekeeping. Syn is a grimnir he is seeking all immortals so they can go to mystic academy. When Syn finds Lana thing turn she learns immortal, Valkryies, and grimnirs can be friends. So did her parents lie? I loved this book it was so hard to but it down. If you loved the runes series you will love this book!

Great addition to the Runes universe by Ednah. While short Ednah does a fantastic job of bringing so much detail, development and story to her readers. I love Lana - she's so firey and Syn seems to bring that out in her. Fantastic quick read
