Fear by Varant Majarian

Emotions play an important part in our lives. Fear is an emotion that is programmed into all animals and people as an instinctual response to potential danger. Fear is an emotion that makes your brain think, Am I afraid? That is fear. When you feel anxiety, it causes fear. Having guilt will cause fear. Panic is another common cause of fear.

CHAPTER 1

The biggest thing right now is fear. In my book Understanding Fear, I briefly explain how to comprehend fear. In this book, I want to explain more about how to overcome fear.

One of my favorite visionaries, Dr. John Demartini, explains all about fear.

Experiencing Fear

You usually start experiencing the emotion of fear at a young age. You often experience fear when your parents are overprotective of you and they don't let you try new things in life you want to attempt.

I think that if you want to try new things and your parents don't let you try them, you won't be successful at them. If your parents continue to be overprotective, your fear will grow stronger in you.

Causes of Fear

What causes you to have fear?

• Job loss?

• Divorce?

• Insecurity?

• Low self-esteem?

Fear causes big challenges in one's work.

I explored this in my book The Ascertainment of Financial Freedom, Fear, and Work.

Fear has a big effect on work. A common fear is job loss; fear happens when you think you are losing your job. If you do get your paycheck, you may transfer your fear to whether or not your boss is upset with you. Are you afraid you are not impressing your boss or manager and you constantly worry about losing your job? Then why can't you create a home business, be your own boss, and not to worry about who is your boss? You can be your own boss. You need to jump in and work for yourself by having your own business.

Fear is something that prevents you from jumping to take on exciting opportunities. I have seen many people who are very talented but are afraid of following their own passions and visions by creating their own businesses. Are you afraid of starting your own business? That is a fear.

Many middle-age people who are planning to retire early have bills and mortgages, and they can't afford to lose their jobs. This is also fear. With the economy still in limbo and talks taking place about the possibility of Social Security getting cut, this causes fear.

All this has one thing in common, which is money.

A common fear involves money. Money is important; it makes the world go around. In and of itself, it doesn't cause fear, but financial crises could lead to job loss.

Fear happens when you create financial debt for yourself, such as through credit-card overspending. In my book Financial Freedom I explain that credit cards should only be used as emergency measures, and if you do use them, you should always pay your full bill amount.

As you know, money rules the world and determines which social activities you can afford, such as going out and eating. The pursuit of money is endless; the more money you make, the more money you want. This creates fear that one day you won't have enough money to live life like you want to.

How to Overcome Fear

Antidepressants won't get rid of fear. Sometimes when you take antidepressants, it leads to fear because of the side effects and how the medications may affect the movements of the mind.

To overcome fear, you must take a chance on what you want to do. Be confident. Try not to listen to discouraging things others may say.
