Overview

Sarah's life of rigid control is nearly shattered by two men—one who wishes to submit to her, the other who might break her.

Sarah Marillioux fled back to Washington, DC after a weekend of reckless, delicious, impetuous passion in London with another Dominant, Steffan Vidar. Two years later, Sarah has re-established her life of unerring discipline and control until Steffan reappears to threaten her status quo of relegating all romantic encounters to a dungeon. He's moved to DC and, with him, is Laurent Chacon, Steffan's angelic submissive—a mixture of masculine strength and aching vulnerability. Together they will bring her carefully constructed world crashing down around her. It would almost be worth it to have Laurent. The problem is, she'd have to take Steffan, too.

Stand-alone and part of an interconnected series.

Fearless was a well written and well thoughtout book. Two men are in love with Sarah but her past does not allow her to move on with her life. This MFM story was rather intense and emotional but I really enjoyed it. This is the fifth book in this series but it can be read as a stand-alone. My first book by Elizabeth Safleur but not my last.

5 Stars Review by Allyson Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Beautifully Passionate! Brilliant story of a Domme who needs not just one, but two men to pave the path of redemption and love for her. Fearless by Elizabeth SaFleur is the fifth novel in the Elite Doms of Washington series and it's one that can't be missed. Sarah Marillioux has been mentioned many times in the previous novels, but now we get to dive into her life and find out what makes Mistress tick. The talented way SaFleur weaves the story of the underlying mental dynamics of BDSM is a breath of fresh air. By bringing in Dominant Steffan Vidar and submissive Laurent Chacon, this triad becomes powerful through the use of different elements throughout the book. From a slow burn chemistry to the tension of hardship backgrounds that come to light, SaFleur interweaves it masterly. This is not your typical BDSM, hero saves heroine type novel. I felt it held so much more depth. It was raw, the authors words became one within you and I, for one can say that this was one ménage, BDSM novel all should read immediately.

An emotional journey that hits all the right notes making for a very raw and sensuous MFM romance Sarah the classy Domme who protects her heart behind a wall of strict rules and guidelines Laurent the sweet submissive who was given a second chance at love and happiness. Steffan a Dom who loves beyond barriers and definitions Years ago Steffan found the perfect match to his soul, but at the time it was not meant to be. An opportunity has presented itself that will give Steffan a chance to bring together the two people in his life that mean everything to him. He just needs to prove to Sarah that she deserves to be loved and so much more. Can a Master and a Mistress find the perfect balance between them? I fell in love with Laurent right away - there is an innocence to him that calls to me. Steffan has a manipulative undertone to him - NOT that I do not adore his character and wish I was kneeling at his feet - I think it was the fact he knew what he wanted and made sure the certain situations met his needs?

Delectably wicked! With the next book in the Elite Doms of Washington series, we get Sarah's story. She's always in control and holds her emotions in check always, but there's a reason behind it and Steffan is determined to discover what that reason is. The characters are interesting and the plot was appealing. We got a glimpse into happenings from several past characters and their lives as well. I enjoyed it! Dominant Steffan Vidar has spent the last two years remembering his sexy encounter in London with Sarah Marillioux. They aren't typically each other's type, but their time together was explosive like none other and he can't get her off his mind. When his submissive best friend Laurent Chacon is floundering and needing that special touch, he can think of no one better for him than Sarah. Domme Sarah Marillioux has mental scars that she'll never forget, and they stop her from having a totally fulfilling life. She puts her wants and needs into separate boxes and makes sure they never dare to mix. Her sexual encounters are always under the control of a dungeon moderated system, and she doesn't allow herself anything more. When the man who rocked her world two years ago shows up in her comfort zone, she's surprised to see him. When she discovers he's there specifically for her, she's intrigued ... and the sub he's brought for her? ... she's very intrigued!

I feel like I should start my review by saying that this is the first ménage book I have ever read and thanks to Mrs. Safleur I can confidently say it will not be my last. The way she approaches it is done with such taste and confidence in her writing that it did not feel weird to me, as a new comer to that kind of reading experience it was truly mesmerizing! Fearless was a fantastic read with PLENTY of twists and a whole lot of heart. No amount of words can express how much Elizabeth Safleur puts her heart into her characters. Sarah in particular is no exception! Her strong femme domme quality is always their but it does take a back burner when she meets her match in her loves Steffan and Laurant and boy do they collide!! The story was enthralling and heartbreaking and just more than I expected from a character like Sarah who’s so pristine and formal and gaurded, Steffan and Laurant are interesting characters that add to Sarah’s build and self worth because they compliment her and make her whole! I honestly loved everything about the story as a whole and Elizabeth truly delivered a story that makes me love her writing more than I already do, thank you for Sarah and her men Elizabeth! You delivered a saucy enthralling emotional read!

Finally! We finally get to see more of Sarah Marillioux. She has been a constant in the Elite Doms of Washington series but we’ve never been granted too much from her. Sarah’s story was beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time. Painful and tragic events from her past have planted themselves into the very depths of her mind and soul, basically stopping her from living a fulfilling life. Sarah’s feelings over those events traumatised her and was something I related to. Guilt! It can be debilitating. Sarah's path to find a peace she can live with through the healing help of Steffan and Laurent was a journey I enjoyed taking. I absolutely loved that this book had a story behind it and seeing all the characters from previous Doms of Washington books make an appearance. Some of the characters even had their story continued in Fearless, so as a lover of this series, I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect. That being said, this book, just like all the others, can still be read as a standalone. You are not left feeling in the dark about anything if you haven’t read any of the previous books, but if you have, your enjoyment may be enhanced just a bit. I went into this book blind, as I like to do, so the ménage aspect surprised me. If anyone says they don’t like ménage, then they haven’t read Elizabeth’s words. She is a master when it comes to writing scenes and Fearless has some very tantalizing scenes. They are definitely erotic and caused just a little panting, swooning, and fanning. On the other hand, while I love reading ménage scenes, I’m not a lover of ménage relationships. I just don’t understand them. I usually end up liking one character more than the other and get the feeling that the other partner is more of a third-wheel. I related more to Sarah and Steffan, the dominant, as a couple, than Sarah and Laurent, the submissive. I would have liked to have a bit more interaction or conversation between the two of them. Since they are both Dominant’s, I would have liked to see more angst; hear how they planned to make it work; what they were both willing to give, as well as take, in order to be together. I loved it when Steffan was pushing the boundaries and perhaps crossing the line with Sarah. It showed that they were both in control of their feelings and could find their way together. Laurent was just too ‘submissive’ for me. That is not to say I would not enjoy a good foot massage from him. Never underestimate the power of a muscular thumb positioned just right. I think this his overly submissive personality is the aspect that caused me to hold back and not get emotionally attached and invested with him. I like an alpha male and having a female Dom and male submissive was very new and foreign to me. This would be the reason for a 4-star rating. the story itself is great, for some readers. For me, I just prefer dominant men and submissive women.
