Monotonous. Annoying. Lacks the "it" factor. The female lead needed to make up her mind instead of dragging out numerous chapters of dull, pointless, indecision. The intimate thoughts and feeling of scenes lacked depth. I like the interjection of sex scenes in novels but, these were just empty, dull, fill in the space (way to often) for lack of a better storyline. The premise was promising, the book cover eye catching but, the writing was stunted and, went down hill from there. S.A.K.

Wolfe tackles a variety of different yet difficult topics in an approachable yet enlightening manner.  She makes this story light-hearted and funny at times, while it’s downright earthshattering at others.  She has created the perfect balance of events for a coming of age tale.  Her intricate descriptions combine with her easy going writing style to create a novel that you can easily immerse yourself in.   You get to know the main characters of this story on many different levels.  They are such real people that you can’t help but feel for them.  The supporting cast is wonderful as well.  Wolfe puts a great deal of character development into them as they aren’t simply support in this novel, but rather family members  This story is real life at its most raw and intimate moments.  It’s a rollercoaster of emotions that you’ll find yourself completely caught up in.  It also may make you want to take up painting. Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

**ARC** Jessica has always been taught to put her studies before fun. She graduated High School at the age of 14 and by 19 she graduated MIT at the top of her class. This left her little time to be a teen and enjoy her Social Life. She moved out of her parents house as soon as she was able to and moved in with two girls. They could not be bigger opposites. But she loves how the girls bring out the Social Side in her.  In the matter of moments with one phone call, her whole life has changed and she has become a rather wealthy 19 year old and went from living in New York City to a small town Hera. Jessica receives a phone call from a Lawyer named Archibald who is in charge of her Late Aunt Virginia’s Estate. She is not understanding all that he is telling her since she thought that her Aunt passed away years ago, but alas she agrees to take the trip up to Hera and see what all the fuss is about.  Upon arriving in Hera she is greeted by Archie who takes her to his office and lets her know about what has been left to her and how in the matter of moments she has become a rather wealthy 19 year old woman.  When she is leaving to head to the local diner with Archie, they are stopped by Carson, who is in charge of the remodel of her Estate. Her first impression of Carson is not a very good one since he was rather rude to her.  When eating at the diner she meets Imogen & Lauren, who she feels right away she can become friends with if she chooses to stay in Hera. They are fast whitted, talking girls and take no crap from anyone. She also meets Dylan, who has stolen her breath and taken over her mind and space in the matter of moments. It is from this moment on that I could not put this book down and it took up all of my time! We read about Jessica’s relationship with Dylan, and why Carson is so rude to her. She gets life and dating advice from Imogene & Lauren on the regular. And she has fallen to love the older crowd who were her Aunt Virginia’s Best Friends, Archie, Lois and Eleanor.  Jessica is still not to sure what she is going to do with all that has landed in her lap, but she does know that the small town and people of Hera are making it hard for her to return to the Big City. The whole time I was cheering for her to stay in Hera with the new family she has come to love. I wanted her to drop Dylan and run into the arms of his hot older alpha male brother Carson, but hey we all have our favorite hot guys in books right?  When Dylans inner demons are brought to the surface and she still chooses to stay with him inspite of what Carson has said, I wanted to slap some sense into her and open her eyes so that she could see who it was that really loved her since they were kids and who it was that was only playing with her heart. I want to tell you all about this amazing book that had me up until wee hours of the early dawn, but if I did all that, then I am afraid that I will give away all that is good in this book and you won't want to read it anymore.  So to leave with all the suspense until you read it yourself, I will leave you with this……...What you think is going to happen, doesn't…...

When starting this book I wasn't very into it and wasn't sure if i wanted to finish it. As I continued to read and finish the book, I have to say ultimately I really enjoyed this book. If your not sure about this book, I'd say give it a shot and than give your own personal opinion about it! Will definitely be picking up the next 2 in the Fearsome Series!

It could've been good but the main character whines too much, too insecure and even though she is young, 21, she acts like a 13 years old girl except when she is having sex. It revolves around the same thing over and over. Dylan is a charter with bipolar disorder but Jess is the one that shows all the indications of bipolar. She us supposed to be a genius but couldn't act more stupid. I'm not saying don't read it but I didn't even finish the book which a rarely do; I got tired of her too childish behavior.

A slow read, disappointing read. Authors overview of the book made you think you were going to are a menage but it was not. I found myself not able to get losed in the book. It never grab my interested and I found myself skipping to the end just to get it over with. Not worth the time.

I only made it 142 pages in. This was so slow to get going and not interesting enough to care about reading more, and this hardly ever happens. I usually finish the book no matter what but im out on this one.

I am bad about judging a book by it's cover, but I was right about this one! Nice story, lots of fun townsfolk, and very sexy. Makes for a great read. Have bought the rest of the Fearsome series, and understand there will be a fourth!

As someone with a family member who is bipolar, it is great to see stories out there with bipolar sub characters. The disease is real and affects everyone around them. Wonderful story, well-developed and well-structured characters. I look forward to more books by this author

I would have given this book 5 stars, but... Okay, while I was reading this book I was so frustrated I was practically screaming (in my mind) at the pages.  The questions that I was asking were thankfully asked by Jessica, but boy this trainwreck did not have to happen.  I am not going to include spoilers in this review so I won't say what really bothered me by this story.  You will understand when you read it.   All that being said I still recommend this book because it's sets up the next book nicely.  You will definitely want to read the next one titled Freedom.  ENJOY

S. A. Wolfe had me captivated from beginning to end. Carson and Jess are great together even with all the denial by Jess. Can't wait to read more!

Yes very good...Jessica's POV ONLY, Dylan & Carson were Hotttt...Jess was cool (nice to have her character be a genius) then GOD she started to get really annoying to me. Overall good steamy love story! I want to read Dylan's story, but I'm sooo hoping it's not likre the last book "I cant be w/ you...but I can..."

I liked this story. I was expecting something awesome based on the reviews but it was just 4 star for me. Cute story. Believable. Likeable characters. Hope there is more to the story in Freedom since I already bought it.

3.5 star review Let me just start and say that my review may be jaded by the fact that I already read the second book in this series first, and after loving that one, this one just bugged me and had me second guessing how I really felt about Dylan in the second book. Jess is some intellectual genius with amazing artistic talent, not even 21 yet, and she has the two hottest guys in town lusting for her. That right there was enough for me to be turned off by Jess. Couple it with the whishy/washy attitude and way drawn out concerns she would be just like her parents and I was left with a heroine I could not get behind. How does one girl lust for one brother but then sleep with the other, I just don't get it, especially since she had never done the relationship or the sex before. Dylan still in my mind is a likeable character. Towards the end of the book his justification for going after Jess was somewhat disheartening, but I didn't see all the crazy that EVERYONE in the whole town kept commenting on. Why wouldn't Jess think this guy was in to her. And yes his actions may seem quick, but after reading the second book I really don't see a big difference in his actions. Carson should have been an amazing character. I love his swagger but his attitude drove me bonkers. His loyalty to his brother was amazing but I found him to be contradictory with Jess. I love you and I will be patient, then later having her leave and giving her the cold shoulder because she doesn't declare her love. Annoying. In hindsight, some may say his past actions may have bordered on stalking. It would make wonder how much he really loved her. When you love someone from afar based on what you see without really knowing them, how can you love them. Oh well, I obviously was really opinionated about this book and as I said before it is likely due to my connection with Dylan after reading the second book. I still love the humor of the townspeople, though they really should mind their business sometimes. The sexual tension and chemistry throughout the story was hot. So with all things considered, still a worthy read.
